    Aaahaaaaaa. I got a work buddy to look at the hoses while I revved the engine. The pipes collapsed at 3.5 thou. We opened up the air filter box and did the same and nothing happened. So looks like the air filter is to blame. Off to buy one after work!!.. Thanks for the replies guys. GM

    I'll have a wee look in my lunch break. Thanks for the reply! Edit--- I have attached a pic (crappy one I know damn camera phones!!) Is the circled bit a turbo? it looks to small too me, but meh what do I know. Any help is as always appreciated.

    As far as I know its not a turbo. I think its an 'L' series engine if that helps. Assuming for the moment its not a turbo what else could be wrong? Would a faulty sensor cause that type of issue? Thanks for the replies so far. GM
