    I don't want to start a green topic but... After the Americans and the Chinese are bothered with this, I will, as a tiny little Belgian!:p

    That's just my way of driving and, above that, I never go off-road.

    @foureb I'm glad to know your experience with the 2WD. The decision is made: this wednesday mine will be a 2WD'er too. As I only have done 90.000 km (=56.000 miles) with my FL I can stick with it for a whole lot of years (If luck is on my side)

    To tell the truth I am not searching any technical support being a technical layman:rolleyes: Only my neighbour (an independent (Land)Rover garage) told me about this possibility. So, I just want to hear from people who experienced that 'mondo mode' in a diesel version. ;) Dus Willo op ons...

    Reading between lines means you well understand what these lines mean themselves. This is hopeless and getting boring... End of story.

    4wd -> 2wd

    Does anyone experienced 2WD on their Freelander I - diesel ? So modified from 4WD to frontwheeldrive...:rolleyes: I never driver offroad, so I don't realy need 4WD. Then probably the car consumes less and driver a little lighter and queter?
