Will try that tomorrow when I get the help The bracket has been replaced as old one had a small crack and bent slightly it feels as if the cylinder isn't in right but it is. the release arm is fine checked that as knew that could of been a problem.

Yes they are fine also clutch release arm is fine, the gear box was off and visually looked ok Also when pressing down on the clutch peddle there appears to be very little pressure

I have an s reg freelander 1, 1.8 petrol the car started to struggle to change gear. I replaced slave and master cylinders it then wouldn't change gear but with old one on it went back to normal. I then thought dodgy part so brought another exact same thing but this time replaced bracket same...
