Well my leak off pipes were looking a bit ropey so thought that could have been initial problem. Changed those but didn't cure. Then changed lift pump. Did nothing else though. At the time I was told Delphi were the best brand to fit. Worked great for me. Hope this sorts it for you
Hi
I had exactly this problem about a month ago. Turned out to be the lift pump that was knackered!! I have no idea why, but changing the lift pump cured the problem!!!
Hello
I've got the toad ai606 on mine and it's very good. Double circuit immob etc so it's a cat 1. It also has a couple of spare buttons which can be wired to so various things including starting the car I think.
No probs. it is a switch not a sensor. I just wondered if an intermittent problem with that wouldn't cause limp home mode? I have a td5 disco that showed the lights, went into limp home mode. I did the above and hey presto it was fine!!
The inhibitor switch. I was thinking someone may have 'stopped' the m and s bulbs illuminating. This is not necessarily terminal for the switch though, they can just play up intermittently. Though I think you are correct that it's on the side if the box, not the top. My sincere apologies :)
Hi, firstly, don't panic too much about the water. Try the cheapest things first. I had exactly the same on a td5 and it was the radiator knackered. Could also be the expansion tank. They get minute cracks which open under pressure let water out which evaporates off then you can't see where it's...
Hi. It's the kickdown cable. Just slacken it off a little and it will stop holding the gears and the change will be smoother. Might take a bit of trial and error to get it perfect. Just don't drive it with the cable disconnected!!
