but on a serious note the revs are still up and down until you engage drive, soon as you come off the pedal it starts again

Hi just wondered what the average cost is of a cambelt change on a 300 tdi discovery any advice is gratefully appreciated

have blanked it off, put a new hose on and it seems to be running much better, more economical and pulls better, the egr was crackered tho so its a job well done

Made a start on the rear door conversion, adding a cook shelf etc, will be handy as i do a lot of fishing and i do like a brew :D

ive just ordered the kit with new hose so can remove the whole thing ;)

with regard to a blanking plate is it just a case of adding the plate or do i need a remap ?

there is another which is plugged into the egr valve so not sure where this one goes, its much shorter

Just wondered where you get your replacement parts for welding boot floors etc is ebay always the safest bet??

removed aircon belt due to noisy pump, changed drive belt, took off the sporty air filter someone fitted and replaced with standard air box, "runs so much better" after lunch oil and fuel filter change

cheers fellas, just did it anyway, just as well i did as the drive belt was cream crackered so changed that aswell, ive a feeling this may become my full time job ;)

got a disco 1 300 tdi es auto with a noisy aircon pump bearing, my question is can i take the belt off that drives the aircon pump or will it cause other issues, pretty sure its only the aircon driven by the belt, new pump on the way but the noise its getting on my nerves :confused: thanks all

feel a bit of a plank asking but is there anywhere around the Midlands where you can have a go at some off-roading, nothing too extreme

Long time landrover lover first time owner Just got my hands on a discovery 300 tdi, been around the block to say the least but all in all not a bad old beast. done just over 200k has a small issue " i hope" of when on tickover it seems to be hunting between 750 rpm and just over 1k...
