    Rear Diff issue - ideas?

Hello all, Is anyone able to tell me what damage i'm likely looking at? just got my 109 back after the garage put it on parabolics (lazy me, but it got done fast). It's a much much nicer drive - no banging into potholes. Now it looks like it's caused damage to rear diff from prop pulling at it -...

    hi landyzone

Hi, i've just posted somewhere then checked my own posts and realised i've not introduced myslelf. I have a 109 that is used as a second car plus does quite a lot of towing in mud, so an all round toy n tool really. It's now got good mud tyres on it - makes all the difference when i have a 3ton...

I've been adding things up a bit more realistically, and it is looking like I'll be patchng the engine that's in there. Just can't go the extra money at the mo, it'll keep the old beaty running few more years anyway

    1961 109, which engine, norfolk

I should add; my bias is for a 200tdi (series gearbox and i already have overdrive, simpler to work on, no fly by wire), and if this is the right one should I be getting a defender one, or would a disco do (different manifolds?). Appreciate need to rotate turbo, mod exhaust.

    1961 109, which engine, norfolk

HI all, i've just signed up as a member to check a few ideas. i have a fairly ok 109 from 1961, body, chassis and axles in good nick. Propshaft seals and bearings all about ready for replacement. The landy has a lovely, but tired, 1970's toyota b type engine, 2nd generation. Pulls brilliantly...
