Not that i know of, but then they wouldn't cause it to not rev (which is why I'm thinking injector pump...?) Isn't 1600rpm the engine speed that the pump does something to bring the turbo in, or increase fuel somewhere.?

Deffo sounds like fuel run back to me, it happened on my 300TDi. It was down to leaky leak off pipes, once she fired in the morning it was fine all day. Leave it over night and you had to crank all the fuel back up in the morning. If you have that, coupled with a weak lift pump then it...

My guess is its heavy on palm oil, rather than proper veg/rapeseed at that price. Possibly gummed up in the injector pipes or something like that. Send me a photo of the box / can.

Never ever done that. Ran a mk5 transit for years on WVO and never had an injector problem. Running my 300TDi now on blend, and so far so good. I have a system for filtering WVO that I have developed over the years. If you can get some WVO (thats the hardest bit) and you need a hand...
