    which bit broke, The plastic clip that holds the slave in the bracket? If so you can get replacements of them on their own.

    Only make the sound on breaking? Does the frequency of the clicking sound decrease as the car slows? If all the springs, retainers and adjuster are fitted correctly I'd say the miss-alignment off the shoe has either buggered the shoe or drum, perhaps both.

    Well perhaps I was just being silly. had a fag. Watched youtube cambelt video. Time to try again... lined up crank pulley. Took pulley off. Marks were correct. Looked up at cams and they were lined up!!!! When I put the lower timing cover on I didnt bolt it as wanna gunna take off again...

    Still finding it difficult to get the belt on is deffinetly the correct belt. very tight to get over the autotensioner, must still be getting too much slack between crankshaft and exhaust cam. grrrrrrr Im trying, belt over crankshaf,t over both cams exhaust side first and then over water...

    OH SH***** changing the cambelt. must have had too much slack between between crankshaft and exhaust side camshaft pulley. I rotated by hand. Re checked markings and now my two camshaft marks don't line up. they are one tooth out. ****** Don't know if inlet needs to come down or exhaust...

    Thats Handy!! Was looking for the tensioner mounting bolt for when i do the cambelt. Land rover dealer price is £1.25. cheap enough, but not a stock item!!! That link shows as an m10x25 bolt.... Job done! Although im still going to just thread lock the old one back in:D

    No leak or belt squeel. Need to replace the leaky water pump at the weekend so new cambelt and tensioner going on, whilst its all going to be apart I have replacement drive belts also so any belt issues will be ruled out. Unless the pump or rack are on their way out I cant really see a lot...
