Can't see why it wouldn't. You have to take off the bit on the front bumper your number plate fixes to (re-fits to bull bar) and it then mounts on the four centre bolts on the underside, I think they are the current front bumper bolts from memory. Jaz

I have one in Chester, took it off my 1991 disco when I sold it... it has a couple of scuffs on the corners, nothing serious, well I don't think so anyway... was going to chuck it on ebay unless a better offer comes up.

Depends a lot on how/where you drive. I get about 14mpg normally out of my 3.9 V8, but can be all the way up to 19mpg!! on a Motorway drive Jaz.

Just a quick update for anyone interested, when I stripped it down the seal mating surface on the output shaft was grooved and corroded. I took it down to a local engineering firm and they skimmed 8 thou off it, there was still some evidence of very slight pitting but we didn't want to risk...

Hi all, here is my next challenge for you to resolve - as it looks like I'll be under the disco this weekend anyway... when I let the throttle off, the revs die back too far sometimes causing it to stall, it seems to be worse when I am 'dabbing' the throttle e.g. looking for a parking space etc...

Thanks for the reply, it gives me a bit more confidence I'm not looking at a massive job anyway. Do you know if the old seal can be extracted using a slide hammer or is the best option a screwdriver and hammer? Cheers Chris

I have an oil leak which I assume to be the transfer box rear oil seal? I cleaned everything off and went for a run and on return inspection the only oil appears to be coming from inside the handbrake drum, it is then collecting in the groove between the 2 sections and dripping off the bottom...
