Hi I have done a deal with a Gentleman in Germany to sell him a 130 defender. He's asked for the Type Approval number for the vehicle but I don't think there's one listed on the V5. Is it a requirement for export? and if it is how do I go about obtaining it? Thanks Rich

I agree about the 300 TDI engine its that one were thinking of, not a TD5!. I think once we've sold her we'll give the replacement vehicles some serious consideration before parting with any cash. Thanks all for your help & advice lads, its appreciated;) Rich

Yep that'd definitely be on the back burner for us for the foreseeable future (forever)!

We have and the answer is we need 2! More so for the water search side. We response within the region for FS &Police and the team can, and has been, deployed nationally for DEFRA for flood rescue so it's a requirement for towing boats basically!

I think that'll be the way we end up when we can fund it;)

We did consider modifying it into a mobile control, but ended up doing this instead: The thought behind it being that we could cope with a land based search & still be able to use the Ambo to tow a boat for a water job at same time. Highly unlikely but a possibility

Yep the chassis is good, recently had it on ramp at the garage and it all looks good. Ok assuming the charity wants to sell it, where would be the best place to advertise it?
