If gone this weekend I will accept offers in the region of £1200, failing that it will be on to one of the "we buy your car" firms.
I need this gone ASAP :(
Hi,
The only issues with electrics etc is that the drivers door has just stopped working on the RCL, the sunroof clicks and the rear check straps are disconnected.
All windows work as expected as does the rear door and the air con.
Selling my 2001 TD4 Auto 5 door. Heated leather interior in excellent condition. CD changer and Bluetooth adapted tape deck with steering wheel controls. Good AT tyres all round. Parking sensors. Bluetooth handsfree kit.
It's got decent service history and MOT until 21st Sept 2016.
It's had a...
De-wooded the interior and it's a much more pleasant place to be.
Took a little bimble to test the gearbox and it's back to fully functional if a little rough on a couple of changes :)
Be careful when you probe the plug and insert the probes in the top of the plug [where the wire goes in] and not the little tabs that are visible on the front of the plug as these hold the connecter in.
All your results appear to be high by the same margin.
Take the two probes of the meter and hold them together, this should give the resistance of the leads themselves which can then be subtracted from the results.
Your 2-4 brake duty is a little higher than the rest suggesting it be out of...
Check for Hippo's videos on Youtube for some excellent assistance. The values are as follows. Start at the ECU end then work your way to the connectors.
Method 1 is from the circular connectors:
Method 1: Sensor resistance limits (connector C0243)
Pin 1 - 2 = Turbine speed sensor (513 to 627...
They are both fed off the same line, there is a 'crossover' in the line though to limit the frequency range to each speaker.
I would suggest you test the non-working speaker, you will probably find it's knackered or a dodgy connection on the rear.
W&D: Use wet if you are flatting ready for the next coat, dry is more aggressive but does clog quicker.
Scotch pads can be bought in big packs and I used them to key coat a standard panel ready for primer.
Get some panel wipe and lint free cloth.
Dropped it off at the local gearbox guru last night. Got a phone call to confirm it's the solenoids that are causing the issues with the auto box so they are to be swapped out. Happy days [if not a bit lighter in the wallet].
If I was to do it again [I probably will] I would tie into the CD Changer input. Using the tape input [post pre-amp] is pretty straight forward though if you are handy with an iron. There is even a handy hole on the back of the case which you can feed cables through or even pop a socket in there :)
