Hi it is a 5 door, had a look at the board, cleaned conector on board, i think damp has come in though roof arial fiting, will seal with silican. changed dif oil with sringe & tube, it was black. next frunt dif. yours Richard thank you for all your help. The best forum i have been on:):):)

the interior light is not coming on when doors are open. 1998 2 ltr d 5door. dash light for doors open works ok help ps lights work onlight switch. yours Richard ihave down graded from a disco 300 tdi:mad::mad: love freelander very good of road:):)

yes it was the driver . you have to rev the engine hard when towing. warter pump not doing the job at low revs. it is a fault on the 300tdi engine. i e 50 mph in 5th gear with caravan on tow. solo run all day ok

Hi new rad, new metal water pump ,2 second thermostat all new gaskets cilinder head, p gasket ,water pump gasket, no leak on water syrtem, new tempricher sender unit,all flushed out and filled with antifreez yours Richard. ps it mite be electrical fault will renew earth straps on friday.

Hi temp still going up, only does it in day light, could it be a bad earth from engine to chassis, on the theory the earth going back to temp gage when battery gets charged. open for suggetion. yours Richard :)

the impeler is metal,radiator is warm at the top.new rad 3 months ago, is there a tempricher sensor on top of head under rubber cover' the temp needle seems pulse slightly, is it posible for wire to be shorting from temp sender unit. yours Richard ps still smileing

Up date. temp gage still going up now with no caravan on, fitted new temp sender unit + thermostat. could it be gage in dash, rad warm at top cold at bottom. no water leaks, cab heater ok. any suggestions, thanks in advance. yours Richard:)

Hills with caravan on temp gos up. new rad fitted thermostat remooved. still no better. so fitted new fan unit. no oil in water no water in oil. not useing water. i hope new fan unit dose the job.set off to wales to day will try again tomorow. any suggestions. A BIG THANKS to you all on hear...

Hi again sory to be a pain just been out to disco, the plastic plug on thermostat housing stuck. got spair off old rad,plumers grips after socket failed,no threads on old plug,rag in hole cleaned treads out with oring remoover ,remooved rag toped up,brass plug back in, lets hope no further...

Hi i fitted new rad 3 weeks ago, all the finns had droped out, which would let more air though,i think a elct fan might do , plus a bit more power. Richard:) ps i love tinkering

:)Hi my 97 disco is runing hot with van on back if i put cab heater on tep drops to normal. went up suton bank with no caravan on back all ok. now do i put 14" elct fan on the dico with switch on dash for deep water or fit a new viscose unit. Yours Richard

Hi I have just put a new radiator in my 97 disco, not a hard job. £96 + £6 postage 2 year garante of the bay. my locall L R dealer £146 + vat.saved £60 to put deisel in & drive. yours Richard, north yorks do it best 4x4:) so easy to work on
