    Fitting a cat to a series 2a

PS the eco 200 says use 1 measure per tank full, at 90 litres my 110 tank is double the size of many cars so I use two measures per tankful..

    Fitting a cat to a series 2a

I've also used two stroke oil which reduced smoke and reduced engine noise by 2 to 3db ( I measured it) however the eco 200 I showed in my post seems to work better.

    Fitting a cat to a series 2a

Catalytic converters are for petrol vehicles, it would just clog up with diesel particulates. Diesel particulate filters are fitted to diesels, it cost landrover multi-million pounds to develop one that worked on the last defenders.. Even that would not work fitted to a 2A, as it's just not...

I've found the disco 1.2 box no problem in a standard 200tdi 110. (235/85s) , and it happily trundle along in 4th at 30 and if the engine has warmed up it will trundle in 5th on the flat. I've not had a problem with hills, even when going up to the steeper bits of Yorkshire . You just have to...

    Defender upgrades

Drive it for a while, decide what you want of it, then choose just the improvements that are needed. So my land rover110 is used for a lot of towing, often launching and recovering boats. So it's got Galvanised bulkhead, chassis and doors Stainless exhaust, An LSD in the back axle for...

    200,000 mile club

My 12j did 197,000 before i swapped it for a 200tdi, though there was nothing wrong with it. The 110 has now done around 230,000, but with a galvanised chassis doors and bulkhead. Stainless exhaust. Disco transfer box, and an LSD in the back axle.
