    2.5 Diesel Injectors

An old neighbour of mine used to put the injector cleaner in the fuel filter and pretty much shove it through neat! That was on an old Pug diesel.

Beru gets my vote. I think they run them a bit over voltage but they're robust enough to take it. Makes quite a difference. Put mine in years ago and they're still like new - and that's running a hot-start fix that forces the glows on every time I start it!

+1. Unlikely to corrode so should be fine.

    2.5 Diesel Injectors

My injectors are original on a 1995 and past 180k miles. Didn't look bad when I had them out last year.

Pretty sure it bolts on somewhere too? I'd get a Land Rover one off Rimmer Bros. Got a feeling I tried Britpart once and it leaked!

    Automatic Braking Assistance

Mate's new VW slams the brakes on when reversing when it senses a blade if grass.

I'd find the BMW part number and then ask them, just to see. You might be surprised. Might be worth trying Vauxhall too as the same engine went in their Omega. After that the usual suspects like Rimmer Bros or maybe Diesel Jones in Manchester have some refurbished ones? Last resort (but cheap)...

Pretty sure @Flossie fettled an earlier one into his somehow?

Fitted a stereo with DAB and Bluetooth (complete with external microphone). Works very well. Can change the colour to match the dash too. Sony MEX-N7300BD, if anyone is interested.

P38 Diesel Injector Pump & Cam Top Dead Centre?

Possibly someone has adjusted the idle using a Nanocom? 850 rpm doesn't sound too bad.

The connections are for manual gearbox oil cooler pipes. Not used on the auto.

I think you'll need plastic weld or similar. I like Quiksteel but it needs to bed into a nice hole as it isn't too sticky. Hard as **** when cured.

Needle in the middle should be good enough. Head temperature isn't the same as coolant but my Engine Guard head alarm is set to go off at 95°C. Typically it is between 85°C and 95°C depending on how hard the engine is working.

Different to cars then, or the Healey body at least.

I think it is two-thirds of what you state the maximum rpm or some proportion like that. Most people lie about their max rpm!

There's a tool to hold the fan in place while you undo it. Diesel is left-hand (reverse) thread. Might get lucky with a sharp tap from a hammer.

There's a guy in (Sheffield) called Sherwin who is straight but I think he's probably retired. I'll see what I can find out

One of my old neighbours built one if them years ago. Now lives on the Isle of Arran. No idea if he still has the car.

Checked my NS mirror. Bit odd. The glass had just detached itself. Plastic strap and even the plastic mount that typically explodes as soon as you look at it fine. Reassembled and it is fine. Bit of a result!
