    200tdi won't rev

Once timing is confirmed to be 100%. Check lift pump is functioning as it should, replace fuel filter of not already done so. Make sure no intercooler hoses have collapsed internally.

    TD5 Clutch woes

I have fitted a few Single mass conversions and it is true they do give a little chatter at idle, and do seem to feel a little vibration when first pulling away. Standard power TD5's with the single mass seem to need slightly more revs to pull off probably due to single mass being lighter...

    Stolen Vehicle Identity

It won't really tell me anything... The chassis number I have comes back as a diesel 90. The vehicle will have left land rover as a V8 110.

    Stolen Vehicle Identity

No the date stamp on the inside of the chassis is 87 and the chassis is in virtually A1 condition as its only done approx 60k miles The order for the 2 vehicles was made and started in early 87 and they were not completed until 88.

Yes they are the same vehicle, and yes they look different one is green and one is red among other things :D What in particular do you think is so different?

    Stolen Vehicle Identity

Yes, both of the coach builders ceased treading some time ago. The police have now launched a full investigation into the vehicle as I have collated so much evidence so I will keep you posted.

    Stolen Vehicle Identity

These were some of the many clues. The vehicle has never been to pieces before I got hold of it. The Ash wooden frame of the body was still mounted to the chassis and has never been touched.

    Stolen Vehicle Identity

Yes the number shown on the chassis is the one on logbook I have. It's for several reasons. 1. I know it's wrong and want it sorting. 2. The provenience of where it has come from. 3. I have been in this position before rebuilding a 90, and after £10k rebuild it then ended up on a Q plate.

I need LandyZone members help! I purchased a rare Defender 110 6x6 V8 last year with a view to strip and completely rebuild as a overland vehicle. However part way through stripping it and while I was searching the history all is not well with its ID. I contacted Aiden Fisher who wrote the...

110 but says 130 on the logbook???

Have to agree its 100% a 110. The 127/130 has a complete triangle section of body in front of the rear wheels. Had it been the other way round and it was a 127/130 but the logbook said 110 this was very common in the early days.

How to stop water building up in the foot wells?

Wait until the weather gets colder, then you can trace the icicle on the inside to see where it's coming in from :)

87 landrover 90 2.5 TD horrible noise from underneath

When you check the UJ's chock the wheels, release the handbrake and make sure it's out of gear. If you don't do this you won't feel the play in the prop UJ's

Some odd issues with an 02 TD5 Defender

I also agree with ratty, Take off all your main earth cables and make sure the terminals are clean and where it mounts to chassis/engine is also clean and tight.
