On Discovery you should use the HDC only in LOW and there will be no bang sound.The other noise(normal) is the ABS modulator near the brake pump that pushes the brake in your place.

This is a reason for which I changed mines(broken) with HD ones , with grease nipple. The original prop shaft doesn't have a grease nipple thanks to a great engineer or cost cutting! You can't just fit the greaser in a standard joint, you need new joints with the holes for the nipple and...

Try to find someone with less ACE on his Disco and based on the VIN try to find the pulley as replacement part for it.I have a friend with such a car but till next week he is out of the country.

Try fitting a belt(shorter) for the non-ACE Disco 2 and exclude the pulley from the game.

If the outside temp is above 25 C and if the 40A fuse in the engine compartment fuse box is not blown then it should work!Try to spin the fan to check if it's not blocked as was mine.

Kenlowe, Pacet , are the best ;I have Zirgo bought from the States beeing a cheaper version, used for hotrods. Kenlowe also have a HD version, seems to be very reliable. I advice not to use the tube type thermostat as will always leak. I use the one placed in the top hose can see it on x-eng site.

245/75/16 Kumho KL 71 are OK on a stock Disco2;just fitted them a week ago and no problems at all.

Yes, it's the same, you have to drill the bumper and the back metal plate;I did it on my '99 DiscoII, fitting a '02- A-bar from Duckworth LR.

I use a fob from a Rover 75(on my Disco 2) but only for the shell as mine had the buttons cracked;don't know if the electronics are the same but you can ask a dealer. The price is better , arround 30 quids a new fob on ebay.

The sticky is mainly for Disco1;mine having a Disco2 I'm having the same problem about fitting 245/75/16(don't know if will fit) after Bearmach springs lift(HD, not +2 inches).

Done it a week ago...just move it left-right and then pull. Tip:you can use the case of a Rover 75, a lot cheaper on ebay than the Disco ones.
