    p38 front bumper removal

Its two bolts under each bumperette and then release two clips either side of the bumper and the whole thing slides off towards you. Make sure you disconnect the fog lights first if you have them. Lastly, download RAVE as this is the workshop manual and you will know things like this in the...

Dash milometer LED/lighting & Coolant overflow pipe

When checking you have got the bulb in properly and verifying it works DONT switch the ignition back on until BOTH wiring harnesses are plugged back into the binnacle though otherwise you will trigger an SRS FAULT. Then you will need a computer to reset the fault. -Wills

    Braking Problem

I agree with BoB. Does this happen as you are braking and as you brake you happen to go over a bump or pothole in the road?? I had a fooked ABS sensor on my front drivers side and had the same thing as you, going along the road, coming to stop, as I was coming to a stop if I hit a bump/pothole...

    Final Final Final EAS Fault

ok - but assuming you just got it I take it you are new to P38 ownership - as such don't know what the ride quality is like when you have a fully functional EAS system?? -Wills :)

    Discovery Key Fob Failure??

Just to update this thread. Went over this afternoon - turns out the story has more to it than first meets the eye. Something broke in the ignition barrel a while ago and that had been replaced with some sort of generic one so the key to start the vehicle wasn't the same as the ones that...

    Discovery Key Fob Failure??

Hi everyone, Don't usually come into this forum as I don't have a Disco BUT my uncle has a 2000 DII - got the diesel engine - assume it's a TD5?? Not totally sure (hopefully it won't impact on the question anyway). So, his problem is his key fob's have packed up one by one. He has three and...

    Final Final Final EAS Fault

What it says is that the community of P38 owners has found a way round having to pay through the nose at specialists and the dealers to get their air suspension back up and running again. The EAS system on the P38 is simple and very easy to understand and maintain once you have taken a bit of...

    Clock - Buld replacement

I think its possible to do that only if you have the later type console where the cubby bit pops out - 99 onwards maybe?? On P38's without that you can't go the same route. If you have one single plastic piece running the full length of the console, i.e. goes from under the clock the full...

Need help urgently, doing the job right now, glow plugs

I might have a total memory lapse here but when I last did mine I removed the little nuts on top of the glow plugs, moved the wire out of the way and then got a larger socket, deep 12mm (can't remember) and slid it over the glow plugs and then undid them. I soaked them in lots of WD40 before I...

    Used Becm wanted

Understand fully though that buying a used BeCM isn't like a wiper motor or something, you won't be able to buy it, unplug the old one, plug the new one in and then it will all magically work. You need to take out your old BeCM and send it off along with your new (used) one to a specialist who...

    Suspension problem, please help

have been away and didn't spot this! Glad you have got the drive pack in and that the fuse is no longer blowing either, I guess as soon as you re-connected everything up the fuse no longer blew?? What did you mean by the fact it still wasn't talking to the ECU?? As in the EAS ECU wasn't...

    On her bump stops again....

Don't goto coils, ESPECIALLY if you just splashed out for new height sensors and bags. Even with all the height sensors replaced it still shouldn't sit on its stops. Does the vehicle raise AT ALL?? Is there a fault message on the dash?? -Wills :)

are the fold down tables rare ?

no, they are worth nothing, ignore the others. I would like to offer you 99p for them, this is the most you will get, please send them to me ASAP :D ...but yes, like the others say, they are stupid money. I watched a set on eBay once and they sold for £400. They do crop up from...

    P38 ATF cooler pipes.

According to Microcat they are correct. Personally not a fan of ****part, sorry, Britpart, had stuff from them, such as a water pump and it failed after 2 months, luckily when the bearings went on it, the spinning fan managed to completely miss the new rad which had been installed. -Wills :)

Doesn't have to be XP - I believe 95, 98 and 2000 is supported. I have no idea of ME, that was one version of windows that was, well, crap to be honest :D If you don't have a serial port and you are going to use the USB to serial converter though Im pretty sure that requires at least 2000 or...
