    Hand brake shoes just need degreasing, hand brake must only be applied when vehicle is stationary. This to avoid transmission damage.

    What's the first three numbers of the engine serial number? Looks like a civilian 5 bearing unit, late series, so would be post rationalisation.

    The dash panel and the heater box can be removed without the loom, so yes. Mostly. Not sure about the binnacle surround, or the vent lever panel, though.
