your local main dealer can provide all this info, just take along your log book, they have all the info tied to your chassis number.

or......get a 2.5td like me and get it chipped and get the intercooler upgraded. gives you an extra 50bhp or so on top of the standrd 136bhp. driving a big lump of a car is never gunna be fast but like u said it oozes comfort and class. i will never go back to saloons.

my 2.5DT is chipped, and compared to the standard DT....well there is no comparison. its like having the grunt of a V8, but having diesel economy :) gives it about an extra 30bhp. i haven't upgraded my intercooler yet, cos that will give another 25bhp or so.

dont know about freelander, but my mate filled his diesel clio up with petrol, drove it for about a mile before the same result as you. he got away with just the tank drained and a few rubber seals. i think its not so bad putting petrol in a diesel, the worst scenario is diesel into a petrol.

hmmm dunno if this applies to freelander, but on the rangie, there can be an issue with the fuel return valve. ie, not enough fuel getting through to start it up, but once warm, starts fine. get ur fuel lines cleaned out.

yes, after my factory fitted radio died, i bought a kenwood of a mate and i had to buy a converter from halfords for the connector at the back. but the p38 rangie connector is an ISO type, so lots of makes of cd/radios will fit without a converter, i just managed to find one of the few that...
