How do they work? I know obviously powered by diesel, but do they run their own diesel supply or is it fed from a feed from the vehicles fuel line etc? Is installation a simple process?

Where you live also effects it, I live 3 miles from my cousin, completely different post codes, at 20 I had a 51 plate TD5 Disco as did he, I was paying £800ish and he was paying £300ish, very similar driving historys, and we had both shopped around hard for quotes, locals, nationals, brokers...

I bought and have fitted the x-eng unit in the end, it was a doddle to fit, x-eng were proper helpful and although I haven't tested it too hard as yet, seems to be the business, I'd deffo recommend!

I'm thinking it might be a good move with the winter coming, the heated mirrors are sorted, but they aren't going to help me going forwards lol! Treworgy, did you fit it yourself? I know D4X4 do a wiring kit which looks pretty good, anyone got any experience of it?

I've got a tablet PC I'm wanting to use for GPS in my 90, and want to mount it passenger side on the dash some how, has anyone done this, or can anyone recommend a mounting bracket on the market or am I off into the shed to make something???

oldskool, I did consider that, but could it cope with the shape and panel joins that make up the roof on the defender?

Can anyone reccomend someone/somewhere in the Shropshire/West Mids that airbrushes/sprays designs on bonnets, roofs etc, I'm thinking of having the roof on my 90 done :confused:

Griffdowg, appreciate that, from what I've read it seems to be a good unit but not seen one, was gonna to run it and use twin volt meters on the dash to keep an eye on levels, easy to install to from the instructions?

Anyne got a X-Eng split charge system? If so how do you find it, looks very simple and seems to be effective from what I've read, but I've seen one, ith's between that and a T-Max system??

Right, I'm installing some aux electrics in the 90, running them through an aux fusebox, to a switch, and then to the device, e.g (batt-->fusebox-->switch-->aux item) in this case 2 x worklamps, the lamps are 55w each, what fuse do I need to use? I know there is an equation relating to what fuse...
