    Series floor mats

I've got no door seals and just a bikini top so everything gets wet in mine. I realise now looking at the photos it looks like carpet... They're the outdoor door mats you'd often have by your back door rather than carpet. So hopefully water retention won't be too bad.

Series 3 Fuel injection pump - leaking from housing?

The o ring this chap is pointing to is looking most likely, I can't see it being from that union to cylinder 4.

Series 3 Fuel injection pump - leaking from housing?

From watching a couple of videos it looks like it's maybe leaking from between the pump head and main body. Can this be fixed in situ?

Series 3 Fuel injection pump - leaking from housing?

Afternoon all, Noticed a diesel leak when I recently parked up, dribbling down the side of the block, clearly from the injection pump. Bit of a clean up and it's coming from the side that faces the bulkhead, a dribble rather than a squirt. Removed the injection pipe to cylinder 4, then...

    Series floor mats

Afternoon all, Decided to cover up my new floor panels with something because they just look out of place. Not a fan of the rubber floor mats, wanted something that fits the look of my Landy (patina is the nice way of putting it). Before and after... Not carpet but outdoor doormats. About...

    LED Headlights

No experience with them, but make sure you fit replacement units rather than just LED bulbs to avoid an MOT fail.

You haven't considered how long it's left standing on the driveway leaking fuel between journeys. Or how much leaks out of the filler hose onto the driver seat when filling up.

Absolutely no idea, I'm still trying to figure out how to get the instant mpg readout on my dash.

Series Recon Gearbox - Avoid JKB 4x4 Gearboxes

Gearbox all seems okay, clearly some new parts of the outside but can't tell anything internal. Just finished fitting it and quick test drive seems like it's good. No leaks, smooth changes and doesn't pop out of any gears. Unfortunately even though the gearbox seems okay, I've still been...

Series Recon Gearbox - Avoid JKB 4x4 Gearboxes

11th April, he answered his phone at last and told me my gearbox has been collected from the wrong customers address and will be sent Tuesday to arrive Wednesday. All too familiar words... would apparently send me the tracking information later that day. No tracking into received. 12th April...

Can you register a Ford Focus as a Ford Fiesta still using all the original number plate, VIN etc.? Its essentially the same thing you're asking.

No, not without a good bit of work. Not to mention it being illegal.

    109" Master Cylinder bleeding

Correct, strange concept and makes it particularly tricky to bleed but is possible with perseverance and the right tools. There is a way to link them up so the flexi goes to the bottom cylinder first and then to the top. Requires some more copper brake lines but a consideration.

I think pictures would help a lot here.

    Finally Running but Clutch issue

Was the retaining piece correctly fitted and bolted to the clutch fork? Easy enough to replace and not too expensive if it's worn or not there.

No, £10k didn't include a respray. Or the cost of 6 new tyres... Or the cost of 6 WOLF wheels... Or the cost of new sheet alu for the tub floor Or the cost of about 50m of wiring and connectors for the new loom... I could go on

    109" Master Cylinder bleeding

Agree with Bobsticle above, I've found the nipples are loose especially with cheaper branded parts. Easy workaround is pressure bleeding or an vacuum type bleeder that drawers fluid out through the bleed nipple.

As a rough idea of time/money... I'm a mechanic by trade, full workshop facilities and free/cheap consumables and tooling. Budget was £5k and hoped to have it done in 8 months. Reality was over £10k and almost 14 months of evenings/weekends.
