However I would suggest looking at a previous thread I made on the topic with the bearing part number. I tried some from Turners which were extremely hard to work with and ended up replacing them again..

Ive just replaced camshaft bearings on my 200 with a generic tool from eBay, no need to get line bored as the bearings come pre-finished now.

Series 3 200 tdi - not sitting on mounts propery

Okay so I think I've sorted this - clearly not looking properly at 11pm last night when I was trying to fit it. If you look at the sixth photo, you can just about see the stud from the mount sticking down, this was resting on the chassis leg rather than slotting into it's hole, so the weight...

Series 3 200 tdi - not sitting on mounts propery

Morning all, Finally got the the stage of fitting the rebuilt Discovery 200 tdi to my 109 Series 3, however it doesn't seem to want to sit properly and hoping for some guidance. 2.25d mount brackets removed and fitted to disco block, new genuine mounts (NRC2052), 3mm washers either side of...

Series 3 clutch master cylinder adaptor

I had to get a pipe made up for the clutch master on my 73 S3, can't remember exactly why but different side unions vs the pipe I had. Took it to a local hydraulics place and they make me up a new pipe the same day for a few quid.

What have you got to lose by just throwing some new bearings in and putting it back together?

I'd probably grind the heads off those bolts to get the cover off, then tackle the stud that's left in the casing. Edit, too slow on that reply. Yes, I've currently got a 200tdi almost fully build up, turbo, manifolds, etc. on a Clarke 350kg engine stand using the four bolt holes mentioned above.

200 tdi rockershaft washers / spacers

Evening all, Has anyone got a definitive answer to the quantity and order of the rocker shaft washers on a 200 tdi? The photo below shows what came off mine, which matches a Britanica Restorations video, but parts diagrams seem to show more/different order. With another diagram showing qty of...

200 tdi timing case, damage to oil seal housing

Afternoon all, Another chapter in the 200 tdi saga. Whilst getting the crank gear/pulley off (very tight, needed a puller), the timing case got a little damaged, as per photos. A bit of crack and the hole for the oil seal is slightly out of round. Any suggestions? Waiting to hear back from...

Slightly bent headgasket, use or not...

New gasket arrived slightly bent, no crease in the ring but looks to be coming away from the gasket slightly. Tempted to put it in knowing the pressure from torquing up, but would be good to have opinions.

    200 tdi camshaft wear

Wasn't quite happy with putting it back together knowing the cam was stiffer than it should be. Took a razor blade to the shiney spots on the cam bearing and gently reamed it down, took a few attempts but now turns freely with only a small amount of bearing removed. Core plugs back in and...
