I assume your talking 110 ? Would be easier and cheaper to buy a station wagon You would need ,rear tub ,b + c pillars, doors ,seat belts ,the bulkhead behind the front seats is different and there is a cross member that bolts to the chassis for the rear seat belts Plus there will be numerous...

Gauze on pick up pipe in tank could be clogged with muck ,either take out to clean or blow fuel hose back with compressor I find a tdi will run OK with a bad lift pump but will be harder to start

You won't find a fourtrak that's not rotten , landcruisers and shotguns at that age aren't much better than a landrover but the parts will cost far more What problems have you had with the V8 ?

D3 diesels aren't cheap to run and p38 diesels aren't that much quicker than a 300 tdi disco As has been said no old landy will be cheap to run ,personally if its rust free I'd stick with the old V8 disco 1

I can try changing the seal ,I always assumed they leak there as the shaft is pitted / scored (I also assume that's why the last rebuilt box I bought leaked) Worth a shot as the seal is cheap
