    Disco 2 flare types

I’ve just done mine. I removed a pipe first to check the flare, which is a DIN type. I used a tool very similar to the one you list. It made flares identical to the ones on the original pipe. I also used copper/nickel pipe. Good luck, routing the pipe across the rear to do the O/S rear...

    Earth point

Not sure if it can trigger the 3 Amigos, but there is one behind the air box which is associated with the SLABS. I’m sure it was part of a bulletin. Maybe I can find it.

    Disco 2 brake question

Check where the pipes run over the rear spring turrets. The pipes are almost hidden and that’s where mine rusted through and all the fluid went. Filling the reservoir had no effect, it needed proper bleeding to get fluid through. I used a hand vacuum pump to start with, then the Nanocom. Good...

It’s been like that for 3 or 4 days now. Would be sad if they just shut it and migrated to Facecloth without saying anything.

Disco td5 auto box cooling pipes

Unfortunately, I don't have any photos. Where the car was returned by the recovery truck was a bit of an obstruction, so I just had to get it running and back into the drive as quickly as possible. There is a write-up that may give you a good idea here...

    D2 front driveshaft seal

I used these from LRdirect, FTC4822.C8. As above, mine weren’t leaking, I just thought it a good idea to change them when doing the swivel ball joints. That was nearly 5 years ago and so far, all OK.🤞🤞

    Suspension Nightmare Unsolved!

Probably worth reading this, if you haven’t already: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/disco-ii-air-suspension-%C2%96-the-definitive-guide.171995/ If you have access to a Nanocom it’s worth reading the “live data” from the height sensors - immediately showed one of mine was...

    Xyz switch

It's a 4HP22 transmission. TD5 I'm assuming. The XYZ switch is mounted on the left side of the box about half way down towards the top. If the car has a Cat, it is partially (completely??) obscured by this. Some remove the downpipe/Cat to gain better access.

Disco 2 MOT fail, front body mount

I wasn't with it during the test this time, but in the past they have always road tested it with a thingy on the passenger floor. Must just have been coincidence that a huge shove on the brake pedal caused it to fail a mile later.

Disco 2 Making up rear brake pipes

Thank you. All the bits except the plastic clips arrived yesterday and I've had a play and made 3 quite good flares. It might not be so easy lying under the truck though!
