What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Took 100% advantage of the weather and have now almost finished the painting. Only the doors to go. As a result, Mandy’s back end has had some much needed attention. Getting there!

    A couple of bits I can’t remember…

It’s a very early 1986 110 David. So pre defender. It’s got the 12J in it. The diagram is really useful. I’ll see if I have those brackets. Many thanks sir.

    A couple of bits I can’t remember…

Not that I can identify. It’s a mystery (as Toyah would say).

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Primed the renovated door frames and a load of other bits. Amazingly, the door still fits the vehicle!

    A couple of bits I can’t remember…

I’ve got two stays on each side. I suppose they are both on the rear wing, yes :-) The rear-most ones are fitted ok, as I found the hole in the tub but the front ones (located just in front of the rear arch) I have no idea if where they bolt to. There just doesn’t seem to be a bolt in reach...

    A couple of bits I can’t remember…

Morning all. Couple of problem areas in my restoration that I didn’t take photos of. Can someone tell me where the front wing stays on a 110 pickup bolt to on the chassis? The ones just forward of the rear wheel, at the front of the tub. Second, there’s a metal P-clip on the transmission...

    Seat cover identification

They look pretty similar. Thanks Phil. I only need the bases so now no can match to the backs. Cheers.

    Seat cover identification

I at least want to keep the bases matching the backs, but thanks for the input.

    Seat cover identification

Hi all. I’ve got a pair of front seats I want to renovate and the bases could do with a new cover. Can someone identify this material please? It’s grey vinyl and has a weave like pattern printed on it. Is it what Britpart just a call ‘grey’?? Cheers, Jim

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Painted all the front suspension components in chassis paint (including the blooming springs) and fitted new shocks. No more horrific knocking from the front now. And got into 3rd around the field. Bonus.

    Roll bar or not?

I’ve got an opportunity to buy and fit anti roll bars to my ‘86 110. Is it worth doing? What am I likely to gain? The vehicle will be used mostly on road and in fields/around the farm etc but no mad off-roading. It’s all totally standard otherwise. Cheers, Jim

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Took my daughter for a spin round the field in the work-in-progress 110. Oh the joy of having her running at last.

‘86 110 front seat box alignment

So they’re M6 and not M8. I guess the 8mm hole is to allow for some standard LR misalignment then. Thanks for that - most helpful. I appreciate it.

‘86 110 front seat box alignment

I’m having a right mare getting the two front bolts to line up with the chassis in the seat box. See photos. The holes are M8 but is that what was in there I wonder? I’ve got a sneaking suspicion they’re all M6. Can anyone confirm? This one went in with a wedge and a persuader. but this one is...

    110 tub front wing stays

Would some kind person check where the top of the front wing stays bolt to on a 110 pickup. Mines an ‘86 if that’s important. Cheers Jim

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Put the seat box back in today and got those pesky brackets sorted. She’s really coming along now. Just fitted the hand brake lever back in - where does the metal P-clip on the handbrake cable screw to though?

    110 2 door Tub fixing

    110 2 door Tub fixing

Hey and thanks for the reply. It’s the rear of the sill rail that’s confusing me. Is there supposed to be a captive nut in the square hole or something? I don’t recall this being the case but hey… it’s a LR :-)
