    What did you do with your Range Rover today

    Used a Freelander exhaust heat-shield, folded and cut to size. Seems to work. All finished today and seems to be fine. Put the pressure guage on it but nothing really registered, so I think it runs at very few psi at all when working properly!

    Most sensors are metric fine. So 1.25 pitch sounds right.

    Put it this way, if you don't drive it for a year they rust out from within and block the exhaust. Use it daily and probably not an issue.

    Head back on yesterday and everything back on. Just need to take the cam cover back off today and do the final turn on the head bolts. Having been promised Mahle it was another bloody Reinz one in the box. I'd better not be doing this again in two years time. I definitely feel cheated though...

    Bloody expensive though. Later ones have air suspension like the P38A too.

    Yep, can help there. What do you need?!

    @Saint.V8

    Even the Freelander has gone? Nooooo. My next car will be Jap. And small. Once I have fixed all the issues on this LR so I can sell it ...

    What's wrong with the 2A? We can probably fix that.

    P38A Reverse lamp, electrickery knowledgeable peeps, what do you think?

    I've had the reverse light failure message for so long I don't even notice it anymore. I figured the wiring could take it but if I (or someone else afterwards) ever put an original bulbs back it might not so best fit a relay for the extra lamp.

    From what @Saint.V8 described, it is a daisy chain. So if a module fails, everything downstream of it will be unavailable. So you need to know the order the modules are ordered and then look for anomolies upstream of that. Presumably the order is on Topix or possibly FFRR?

    I'll try and get a photo of mine. It needs to be higher than the diff to protect it from debris!

    Yes, it is. And both the Land Rover dealer and Rimmer Bros know what an M51 engine is and how to find the part-number. I've gone after-market again though. Mahle this time. Less than a third of the price. Surely they cannot mess a gasket up?!
