    Hi All now without the Pi55 taking it seems that the roof/ windscreen seal leaks. After a bit of rain both front door windscreen pillars headlining is damp, very wet if rain is heavy, anybody know where this is getting into the Landy from? doesn't seem to be any problem in roof rack area so...

    went round to a mechanic i use to service the wifes car as i couldnt get the flippin thing out he ground the head of an m8 bolt down so it fit in the ball, fitted a spacer over the bearing and used his air hammer driver to pull it out of the casing I then ground the casing with a Dremmel and...

    well eventually found the cause - front prop shaft bearings totally foo barred removed it replaced all the bearings, back on the Landy and no squeal :D £50 for the bearing set 8 hours of frustration replacing said bearings - mainly due to the single centre bearing which I had to grind...

    how easy is it to change the cup holder - ash tray - coin tray assembly on a 2001 TD5 mine are totally foo-bared and a set on fleabay for reasonable money so if its an easy - ish job might be worth the effort another thing to put right on the road to an original working landyo_O

    Well that was a bit optimistic :oops: the centre bearing was a pig to get out took over 3 hours what with running around to local spares shop to see if they had some pullers that would fit, which they didn't, ended up calling my local mobile mechanic to see it he knew how to get the bearing out...

    Well took it orf and bashed the seven shades of wotsit out off it now posses a propshaft in lots of pieces:cool: all being well (and purchase of a grease gun and grease) it goes back together tomorrow:rolleyes: if the weather is fine it should be back on by the afternoon and out for a test...

    GMT on the left but what time is it in xyz on the right :D - dual time display looks good - bit ponsy but looks good :) what are you going to use to check the batteries tho:rolleyes:
