    Springs and bushes

Mmmm, well, after just going through an older thread else where on this forum, I think that the planned spring conversion is off the cards so to speak. Going to opt for swapping the old air bags for a set of the Generation III's. To hell with it!;)

    Springs and bushes

What are the best spring suspension kits out their for a P38? I would really like to fit something that would be near or at the high setting (Off-road setting) of the air-bag system. But saying that, would there be any real loss of handling on the road? I've seen a suspension kit on Paddock's...

Anybody got any views on the following: "...The world's first SUV with a revolutionary lightweight all-aluminium monocoque body structure..."

    Discovery 300Tdi (98)

Brill, thanks for that. Although it says 1995-1996 can I assume it will cover my friends new toy? Here are some photos of it if that helps.

    Discovery 300Tdi (98)

Hi, A friend of mine out here in Portugal has just gone and bought a Discovery 300Tdi (98) and we would like to know what "model" of Discovery it is, a Discovery I or Discovery II? Also, depending if it is a Discovery I, does anyone know if there are any Rave files or the like for it? Thanks...

Government petition against banning modified vehicles PLEASE SIGN

You lot in the UK can count your selves lucky, here in Portugal any major mods can fail you on the MOT. And, for years now, if you are caught with tyres other than those indicated on the "log-book" they hit you with a hefty fine and you have to change them back. I'll not even go into what...

    The moon and back

Our '99 P38 had 114,000 when we got her in '05 and now she has done 192,000. Just over 11,000 a year with us.

    Pallet couriers

I've used Gefco in the past and I thought their rates ruddy good (50 squid for a P38 Transfer box sent from the UK out to me here in Portugal!). Ok that was 5 years ago, but I wouldn't think they have gone up a lot more. Here's their site link: Transport and logistics group in the UK - GEFCO UK

    Detroit locker failed

I've heard that they´re no worse that Eatons/Detroits. The thing I like is that they sort of act like an LSD when cornering etc but then go back to being lockers on the straight or when ever the surface dictates.

    Detroit locker failed

Have you taken a look at the Kaiser Lockers, by all accounts they are rather good and up to the job. Ashcroft did have them on his books some time ago. Differential Locker - KAISER - Differential Locker They might be an option.

land rover manual's in pdf to download

Yes it does work on a Mac, well at least on my iMac. Most Mac owners have either Parallels or Boot camp, therefore they can install and run Microsoft Windows.

    A dull thud.

Right, the VC is fine (as are the CV's LoL). All ready for a good laugh. As I said before, I did go back to check that I hadn't gone over anything like a manhole etc. Weeeeelllll, went out to a gravel pan I know and did some bits'n'bobs and even check the Hi/Low and nothing happened. That just...

    A dull thud.

Now, another question. If it is the VC, are we talking a big job? (When you say VC, do you mean the thing in the transfer box)

    A dull thud.

Did that. Nothing there. My first thought was some loose manhole cover or the likes, but none there.

    A dull thud.

Anybody with an idea what the following could have (could be) been: Driving home this evening and as I went around a right hander I heard (I didn't actually feel anything) a dull thud from the front left hand wheel. I had the steering in almost 99% full lock to the right and I was pulling away...
