Thanks for reply I ended up losing reverse gear while engine was running can only get it when I turn engine off so it goes garage on monday.

Will get actuator sorted so i can open with fob it's only got to last till next year so i can upgrade to a newer model for the price i wasn't expecting miracles. Many thanks for your replys Cheers

It did work on fob it packed up yesterday and after some searching on here i figured likely culprit was the actuator just couldn't figure out why key wouldn't turn in the lock barrel. Looking at the key it looks worn so not sure if that's the reason. I put second key in such a safe place can't...

No fob works fine if i double press rest of car opens fine drivers door latch won't lift on single press so i have to go through passenger's door and pull lever on drivers door lot of hassle to get in car till pay day. Tried wd in lock no joy Cheers

I can't remember fully if ECU is from a late model (2001) would a syncmate be able do it or would it have to be selected in the BCM

When the BECM blew on my first p38 I bought another and it came with a ECU and what they just fitted to this car I can't remember what year they said it was from

Don't no what system they used. Sorry I'm still a newbie I thought if they coded ECU to the bcm that it was synced. So it could still be out of sync

While it was at auto leccys they did a full diagnostic didn't find any faults.

Well in a last ditch attempt I sent it to auto electrician. They fitted spare ECU and coded it to bcm and bled fuel system still no joy it tries to start but wont. They told me the send it to diesel specialist to check fip so it's going on eBay I've had enuff going back to a discovery. Thanks...

Wanting to no if anyone on here close to the Nottingham area will be willing to come and do plug in. Will pay for job and fuel or if some extremally kind member wants to rent one out would be gratefull

Finally got an answer on car they can read every system on her apart from the engine systems so I don't no if ECU is dead or its out of sync. Sounds a lot like garage couldn't be arsed I even sent an ECU when they picked her up an they didn't do anything with it so don't no if I should stick...

Just an update regarding my previous thread. Been told that p38 has been plugged into 5 different machines including a rep from Delphi who was trying to sell them a new machine was asked to plug it in and see wot he can do but still no joy it won't communicate with any of them
