    ##stolen## defender td5 galv!!!

I can tell you from my own electrical work that you get a shock off AC and unless you have it directly across your heart it's VERY unlikely to kill. I've been on boat's at sea and had a real jolt off a power-switch, no harm done apart from a numb hand for a minute or two (I was wearing a wetsuit...

Defender Specific Engine 'tools' A must-have???

Thanks Station, the DIY crank puller look's pretty ninja, haven't got anything like that at home. How does it stay put do you have retaining nuts on the other side keeping it tight?

Defender Specific Engine 'tools' A must-have???

I'm just going through the pdf file's for defender engine work and I'm seeing this tool constantly mentioned: It's the LRT-12-080 which look's like a spanner with four slots for the crankshaft bolt to be retained when slackening. Is this absoutely a must have for timing belt-changes /...

Should I buy this 110 hardtop 2.5 T/D? (Pics, link)

Years ago I saw a video on here for a place (in the UK) that makes new landrover engines and fits them for you or delivers them for fitting at your leisure. They were around the price that Mad Hat was saying, maybe a shade less...

    Landrover Restoration Thread!

Just an ongoing mission to finish an extravaganza of restoration (with a few little snooks and things to finish). I've documented it for posterity and hopefully to inspire other's to do the same. I know this is a mock-a-billy kinda place usually on showing it off but hopefully even some of you...

    SVO/WVO/Bio and whos using it?

Defender 110's - tell me more!

Thin Armour-plating gives it a bit more strength (but slightly worse MPG), stowage bins on either side, gun racks for the driver and passenger (useful for shotgun owners). Collectors value is another thing. But you're right nearly all are the 2.5 NA models OR a few V8 models. If from Germany...

    Defender 110 below 5k

I got lucky with mine for £4500 and it was a 2001 300 TDI model :D Needed some cleaning up in the back though. Like Benny says it can take a long time to find the right one and be prepared to travel potentially 100s of miles. A professional RAC inspection is wise too if your after a keeper :)

Can we have a video section please?

It would be a real boon is the forum has one of these. That way members can upload landrover footage, tips, video guides to engine work etc etc. :) Cheers Buzz
