Series 3 Zenith 361V rebuild howto

Evening all, I've just taken a misbehaving Zenith "Made in UK" off my 83 109 shed, and I have ordered a rebuild kit offa da net. I have probably overhauled a hundred or more carbs over the past fifty years, but never a 361V. New territory for me Can anyone point me to a good "how to overhaul...

Series 3 LPG tank under passenger seat?

There's another tank mounting opportunity forwards of and above the rear wheels, I reckon.

Series 3 LPG tank under passenger seat?

If you do locate an appropriate LPG tank or tank assembly for that position I'd be happy to hear about it.

EPAS - Electric PAS - anyone done it here?

Years back I'd have agreed with you. Nowadays there's a significant risk of being unable to move my shoulder, or leg, or neck, or any other appendage when I wake in the morning..... I've always rather like pussies. I'll bet it is....... Thanks

Looks like a COTS system spliced in..... effectively like a Corsa system.

Series III 200TDI been standing for 18mths

I had one petrol ono start second spin after hand priming the carb with the pump. It had been sitting at the back of a barn for 13 years. It clattered like crazy until the oil moved, then worked - unserviced by the owner - for another five years before the heel on the points wore away.......

My experience is that you just do a cursory fluids check, and try to start it. I'm amazed by how many just do!..... Just exercise the systems:- Brake pedal hard? Pump the clutch - if it feels right, engage a low gear and find bite. Engage reverse...... I usually try and move seized drum brakes...

Series 3 Ex Mil with two under seat tanks....

Therein lies the problem - there's some contamination (water) got into the carb and this has happened twice now. I also have two tanks full and nowhere to put it - so I need to deal with one tank at a time, hence the question!

Thanks - helpful, probably. It's a start. When do you propose to get the rest of the parts?

Having got now as far as actually looking at the job, I reckon I can cut both legs of the striker loop with a decent hacksaw blade. some masking and some jigging.....

    P38A Halp!

Now that's the kind of precision brutality i approve of. Thanks. I'll have a crack at the weekend. I can get into the vehicle from any door other than the driver's. This is not convenient! :D

Does the team think that I should just find a new door and go in with a disc cutter?

Oh Good. I had to scrap a perfectly good Honda once upon a time when the door permanently locked itself. Anti-burst mechanism had over-rotated and the only way in involved an angle grinder.
