Seeing the military twin-tank thread got me thinking... If there's space for a second petrol tank under the passenger seat, why not an LPG tank there, instead of swamping the load space on an 88"...?

There's no reason not to have multiple LPG tanks, so where else underneath could you fit tanks, and what sort of total capacity would you end up with?

No real reason not to I suppose, finding a suitable tank may be an issue. Could be "Entertaining" if the motor ever does some serious off road work though.

If you do locate an appropriate LPG tank or tank assembly for that position I'd be happy to hear about it.

No more so than the existing petrol tank surely?

Obviously, anything hanging underneath would be a compromise, but I was thinking - as Castor suggests - of something in the space that the mil second tank uses, presumably the mirror of the main tank on the driver's side.

Another thought just crossed my mind, following a D90 through the village - with the filler behind the rear wheel. Where's the tank on those?

There's another tank mounting opportunity forwards of and above the rear wheels, I reckon.
