Hi Chaps, Has anyone here swapped out a rear view mirror - one of the auto-everything ones? Any pitfalls? Easy? Mines dying - looks like a delamination of some sort. Yet another example of a vastly over-complicated P38 system collapsing under the weight of age. Same results can be achieved...

Mine *had* moss *and *lichen* growing on it. Borrowed a mate's ultra high power pressure washer and graffiti remover and stripped all the paint.......

RTV Silicones aren't too clever sometimes, but I urge you to reconsider on the blue Hylomar issue - it is excellent stuff, widely used. Castor MiMechE etc.

Swap the springs over, left to right, then get your dad to drive it again.
