    Does anybody know if..........

Here's me asking a question which was covered but not answered in a very old thread... but does anybody know if BMW part number 32411138124 is a useable substitute for our ERR4911? It's ZF part number 7681955268 and goes into the E36 BMW 325TD/S, although interestingly this particular listing...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Swore some more at it. Power steering pump is n the way out- rattling like crazy. And no, I STILL haven't gotten round to fixing the sunroof

    P38A Fatal??

It's happened before so I know what to listen for. My car seems to make a very distinctive sound when the pulley damper starts to go- it sounds like a badly worn, knocking engine, only very faint, as if the engine is trying to be polite as it knocks itself to oblivion. I think it's quite early...

    P38A Fatal??

Sorry for bringing up an old thread but I just did mine and for the first time I didn't buy STC3345 from Land Rover (they didn't have one nor will they ever again, apparently) or the Sh!tpart equivalent but took a (small) chance and bought BMW part number 11232246511, or rather an OEM...

    P38 Air Bags

For real? I wonder when Ferrari will twig on that and make a 1.5 litre 105hp FWD hatchback with a CVT transmission, paint it red and put the Prancing Horse and their name on it and charge £100k for it. Maybe when they decide they need the cash, huh? Yeah- I can see it now- Ferrari 154...

That's not a copy of a Range Rover. That's a copy of an Evoque.

    P38 dash bulb replacement

I have a similar problem with a BMW group I belong to. A lot of talk, but very little actual help so there's not an awful lot to contribute, nor is there much to gain. At least mine's an E38 (yeah I have an E38 and a P38, go figure) with relatively well documented issues, and fewer of them than...

    P38 Air Bags

Sure... that makes sense. I'll start monitoring them at 2 years now and see how far they go, instead of changing them as a matter of course. I don't use the car nearly as much nowadays as I used to back then after all.

    P38 Air Bags

I'm seriously amazed. Even when I bought complete airsprings from Land Rover, I'd see the beginnings of cracking around 3 years. I seem to remember a set of bellows I bought from Arnott which did seem to last longer but the rubber was very obviously thinner and I was actively taking the car...

    P38 dash bulb replacement

I dunno about a sense of humour but it WAS a great place to get help until the chatbot which could only say "Use the search function" took over. There was also a fair amount of ego padding and talking down to others although there's some of that going on here too but still, there's a lot of...

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

Sounds like a rookie mistake unlikely to be made by the people involved. Oh well, another one to note, I guess..... and no, I'm not going to go out and try it for myself. I've changed the bellows before and a fair amount of swearing was involved.

    P38 Air Bags

Wow! Nope- they don't last anywhere near that long out here. Must be the climate thing. 8 years? DANG!

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

Really? It's not happened to me yet but I've seen it happen. We were offroading, a few Defenders, a couple Discoveries and a couple P38s... and my buddy- who was running stock airsprings and stock Boge shocks- did manage to seperate his while cresting a bank. One of mine seperated (stock Boge...

    P38 Air Bags

I get mine from airbagman..... I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th set now and so far I'm happy. I change 'em every 2 years as part of routine maintenance, though so I don't know how long they last beyond that.

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

They can also happen if you jack up the chassis without jacking the axles at the same time. Or If you manage to ground out the car bad enough that the axle hangs free..... ..... or if you take the airspring off the car entriely and then ram a compressed air gun into the collet and pull the...

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

Seperated airpsrings happen evey now and then, it's not the end of the airspring. You just need to get the cap back on the bellows (which sounds simple but isn't). Some washing up liquid, short tyre irons and a good vocabulary of swear words is needed. You've already figured out that the top and...
