Defender 110 fast wiper speed not working....

i would start with the wiper stalk switch/wiring. I could be wrong but I seem to remember the fast speed wire does not go through the relay but straight into the loom and then motor? the off, int and slow do (I think!)

    Defender rear wiper woes

if you have a long socket that fits over the shaft but can hit the sleeve, and get through the hole, you may be able to tap it out that way

    Defender rear wiper woes

presumably, you've removed the shiny screw to the right of the motor? if yes, then a piece of wood on the shaft and give it a good whack. it shouldn't hurt it!

    rear n/s mud flap

I'm pretty sure there is no legal requirement to have mud flaps although if they are fitted they should be safe! you can buy the brackets and support plates separately and, I guess, just drill out hte old rivets and put in new ones, or nuts and screws...

Is it possible to remove the heater matrix in situ?

as per @mikescuba, I managed to get mine out by drilling out the pop rivets and clamping off the pipes. from memory, I think I also had to remove the screen washer bottle but it was a an old TD (19J) engine! you might also need some foam of some description to put around the pipes as they exit...

    Heater problem

And check the control cables haven't broken or slipped out. They tend to sieze up if not lubricated regularly
