so....using the 90 today ( 1991 ) with the lights on...it's had a problem where when I put full beams on it was normal headlights but when I turn them off it's full beam....well today it's just decided to be on all the time even with the lights out and key out!! So iv pulled the batt out...any ideas where to start?????

Urghhhh.....pull off trim give the connectors a little clean and see what happens....then start replacing things....starting from the cheapest haha

Does your landy have the sidelight main headlight dim feature?

Basically some of them (my 1990 included) had a little Lucas box which ran the headlight lamp at a lower level. If this fails it is known to fail with headlights on - just a thought because if you start looking and things look fine yet the lights are still on, without knowing about this little box you may never find it.

The little box is behind the gauges, it is screwed to the bulkhead with a little bracket - it would be a fairly quick thing to check - if you begin to suspect this little box then google it as there are people who explain how to remove it and join the wires up correctly to bypass it - or replace if you want to keep it.

Thanks :) so ye I do have the side lights,,,and the dipped are the big lights and the high beam are also the same unit.

Sorted! Thanks for that....still abit confused why when the dipped lights are on I have a dash light sayin full beam...and then goes off when I go full lol.....at least that’s sorted thanks again!
