    Discovery 2 ABS sensor

I need to replace my rear right abs sensor on my td5 disco. A search on eBay bring everything from £8ish to £40. I want a reliable system but don't want to pay more than I have to are they all decent or does it pay to spend more? I know from doing abs sensors on a BMW that only the genuine ones...

    Another ACE question

I need to buy anti roll bars for it because the ace has been disconnected but the ace rams and anti roll bars are still in place

    Another ACE question

Well I've never been in an ace equipped discovery with it working to know how good it is. However I've driven a lot of land rovers some with and some without anti roll bars and I never have the slightest desire to optimise cornering speed. My main reason for asking the question is that I'm...

    Another ACE question

I've got another question regarding the ace system on my discovery 2. So I've been trying to reinstate the ace system and I'm now at a stalemate. I have ace warning light on my dashboard at all. At first I thought it was just taped up like 4 other lights were when I bought it. However after a...

Disco 2 ace pump banjo bolt size?

Is leaky pipes the most common failure on the ace system? My disco is currently off the road and I'm getting it to full working condition especially as it's an es model.

Disco 2 ace pump banjo bolt size?

Trying to reinstate the ace in my disco 2 the pump was removed and replaced with an idler pulley so I want to get the ace working again. However in order to understand why the system was removed i need to buy a new pump however it doesn't come with the banjo bolt, so what size is the bolt and is...

    1999 td5 discovery es welding

Thanks for the advice I'm not worried about the radio code as it doesn't work and is on my list of things to replace.

    1999 td5 discovery es welding

I need to do some welding on the disco. It's an es spec and obviously the battery will be disconnected to do the welding, now I've done some research and not landed at any solid conclusions, so will there be any issues with the battery being disconnected for a good few hours? Or any processes to...

    Disco 2 Suspension / Handling

I have the same suspension as you on my es and to be honest the ride feels a lot better than the classic Range Rover I have which is much better than a defender and light years a head of a series 2 Land Rover. I'm saying this because when the discovery is compared against other 4x4's with very...

Disco 2 abs light not illuminating but working

The abs instrument light doesn't light up on the dashboard before starting the engine however hdc and traction control come on and off as they should and the abs all works as it should. I'm assuming it's just a bulb how do I gain access to the bulb?

Air suspension relay constantly ticking D2

It's not rising when I start it up but when I remove the relay I could hear something going on at the back but couldn't say the suspension going up or down. Then when I put the relay back in I could hear the same noise at the back and the compressor under the passenger seat doing something and...

Air suspension relay constantly ticking D2

Yeah I've looked up how to use it several times and followed it by the book. All doors closed and bonnet press the button yellow light comes on and three chimes which I think indicates a fault. The clicking is coming from under the bonnet I can feel the relay pulsing if I touch it. Cheers

Air suspension relay constantly ticking D2

I just find it strange the relay clicks when there is no ignition on and even when I lock the vehicle and leave it an hour when I come back it's still clicking. Is there a permanent live in the connections to the sensors at the air suspension? If so could moisture in the bag cause the relay to...

Air suspension relay constantly ticking D2

The relay for the air suspension under the bonnet is constantly ticking if I remove it I can hear the air suspension doing something I think going down and when I plug it back in I hear the compresser working and then pumping back up until it stops. Obviously this is not normal. I have no...

It needs some work a lot of is aesthetic tbh. The air suspension works but I will be going over it thoroughly it will be my daily car come mid march and it has MOT until may. I have access to two other cars that I'm currently insured on so no rush to get it in daily service. I'm going to drop...

    Just bought a disco 2

When I pick it up I will I will need to sell some cars as my house looks like a miniature Land Rover factory. With a series 2a, a 110, a defender 90, Range Rover classic and now a discovery. The Range Rover and defender are soon to be sold once both have a fresh 12 months

    Just bought a disco 2

so I've just bought a td5 discovery 2 in the spec I wanted green with cream leather in the ES spec. Looked at the vehicle and it was rough in some areas some very minor some more major however as this will be a project before becoming a daily drive I'm not worried. On the test drive the...

    Will the new Defender have...

It'll probably be based on the god awful discovery sport. Besides all Land Rover sell name are the exact same car with slightly different styling and badges. As a result it will cost a bomb to buy and be used to take the kids to school. I still think Land Rover should list all the things needed...

    Disco 2 td5 buying advice

I'm looking at getting a disco 2 with a td5. I live down a very bumpy farm track that is like a Greenlane and normal cars aren't up to tackling the job but I need something comfortable for motorway journeys good for towing and with a little more luxury than a defender. My budget will be £3000...

Lost Drive on 61 Plate Defender 90

The parts themselves are that expensive if not bought from a dealer and it's easy to do if on the rear the front is more involved. I recall seeing another thread on here and on the series 2 club from a member who owned a new defender with the same problem. I can't remember how it was resolved...
