    Ok but when you by a recon box from Ashcroft's it britpart baulk rings and mainshaft. That's worse than a clutch. I looking for facts like 3weeks the friction plate lost it linings ect

    I have read that the lt 77 pre 200tdi is slightly higher geared than the 200 tdi lt77 so my question is that being the fact is there any point fitting a 1.2 lt230? To replace the 1.4 or have I got this wrong I am starting to doubt myself. Any advice ?? Thanks andy

    Well I have now confirmed that my gearbox lt77 suffex f needs a rebuilt main shaft worn.i been fixing car for about 30 years but never have I rebuilt a gbox. I would like some recommendations as to what puller to get to pull off the collar and best place to source the main shaft. Many thanks
