    Head Gasket (I know...again)!!!!!

Thanks James, we haven't had the pleasure as yet due to:- a) Christmas b) Range Rover actually behaving itself then c) a nice well deserved break to Australia. I have ARP studs replacing the bolts due to having to helicoil the block so all nut are tightened down to a torque value rather than...

    Head Gasket (I know...again)!!!!!

At the risk of this post getting raped for posting about about a head gasket, its more of a post about supply rather than a problem. Cheapo composite head gasket split and blowing on the air side into the 'valley' between the 2 banks. Question is where should I get a good quality replacement...

Poor economy from a V8 RRC...

Poor economy from a V8 RRC...

Yer all stating stuff of fantasy to me. Mine still only doing about 8mpg, had it up to 14 on a run once, constant 55-60 mph, no stop starts, no traffic. Got used to it now and even though the LPG has gone up, it still close enough to 1/2 the price of petrol for me. Is the claimed figures for...

Hope its not a write off........

Probably a write off, cat c. I've had 2 written off this year, 1 I didn't want back and the other I bought, both were offered at 10% of the payout although I have been told that some cars can be as much as 20% depending on what it is. Vic marker on the logbook, MOT remains current and valid...

    P38 , 4.6l power loss and popping.

Fuel pump isn't out of the equation as LPG doesn't use the fuel pump. Probably fine to assume the leads are fine tho.

    02 P38 Stuffed Up The Ass, A580, Wigan(ish)

Anyone off here? Drove past it on Friday, looked like a Rover 45 had gone straight under the back of the P38. Rover was toast, front of the car was up near the screen. P38 on the whole didn't look as bad although I suspect it had taken heavy damage due to the rear end being sat in the air. Lady...

Tips on How to remove the Viscous fan

Hehe. Stating the obvious is clearly a result of looking at the pretty pictures rather than actually reading posts properly but I'm gonna stay with it and assume he's talking about a 1997 4.6 GEMS Range Rover (Sig lol)

Tips on How to remove the Viscous fan

I managed to get an adjustable on mine. Remember. Petrol is RH (normal) thread so thats opposite to the direction P38 Ireland has posted (His looks like an oil burner lol) Put the spanner on the nut and smack it. If it doesn't go 1st time (it won't) keep at it.

ABS kicking in, it ain't even slippery

UPDATE: After a few days of abuse in the snow, I'm not getting any ABS errors anymore and no vibrating under the pedal. Lesson learned, when it goes wrong, KICK ITS FOOKIN HEAD IN!!!!

    Considering an expensive Classic...

Gotta admit, I'm over Classics but still got the P38 bug. As for off road, just buy a 300 Quid Disco TDi and wreck it, have a look at my pics lol.

    Considering an expensive Classic...

I said I haven't SEEN a donut fitted to the side but WOULDN'T say its IMPOSSIBLE. I have owned a Classic and know they have a flat boot floor. I know that because it was rotten and I'm better with a spanner than a welder so I crushed the rot infested piece of **** and got a P38.

    choices,choices?

I'm no expert but I think the P38 spares leads are OEM and I think Champion plugs were manufacturers spec BUT (and its a reasonably sized but....fnaaaarrrr fnarrrrrrr) been told NGK's and Magnecor are the way forward although they won't cure anything if they aren't your problem lol. PS, my...

    choices,choices?

Don't put anything in it. My top hose isn't squishy when its hot either cos its under pressure, its normal to only be able to press it in a bit, same as all the water blowing out the header tank if you open it when its hot. Running under pressure lowers the boiling point so if you can press it...
