    V8 Engine Swap job offer!

if it's anything like putting the 200 in there, I know about the cafuffel! can i use my 200 radiator? again it's not really the job that i care about, its the time and I no longer have a workshop so it's travelling to a friends place to do it, hoping someone isn't using his ramp or hoist, and...

Starter motor wont come out - time for a V8

Disco 200tdi in my 90, been a fantastic runner its been left outside for several years and I have now got it back on the road has been starting but starter has been very rough, finally it has given up. went to remove it then remembered I had welded the exhaust on, cut that off after taking the...

What to do with a 90

for your use, i would go for 255/85/16, these are a good size height wise and look very smart without a lift although a little more expensive than more standard sizes. you dont need the extended brake lines for a 2" as already stated, but as well as more space for suspension travel they offer...

What to do with a 90

33x10.5 and 33x12.5 are "normal Sizes" search them and you will find them, generally they crop up with smaller rim sizes. (15") a 275/85/16 will be a similar height to a 33. the difference is that 33 signifies 33" in height then 10.5" in width, where as 285 would be 285mm width with a profile...

know the feeling, i'm just getting mine back on the road after two years out, got to the end of extensive spending to find the fe**ing ignition barrel and wiring is no good.

What to do with a 90

going back to the original post, mine was a TD, as matchmetisse said rip that out and stick a 200tdi in, discovery 200 unless you want to spend lots more. 200000 miles probably means the bushes have been done already, check the A-frame ball joint (rear axel) as they tend to get loose and cause a...

What to do with a 90

i'm partial to a lift, yeah, but it's kind of compulsory for decent sized tyres. I wasn't having a go at all, just thought it was a funny comment in that context! and the fact that this whole forum is dedicated to people like us that love landy's and spend an eternity of time and suitcases full...

    Ignition barrel

Morning all... So, after a lot of pain with all the electronics in my 1988 90. (I think) I have managed to bugger the ignition barrel. the relay works (clicks once) when the key is turned, but that is all, there is no power to either of the large wires out the back. and absolutely nothing...

Intermittent light problem, impossible to figure out!?

i'm also having problems! your central relay is the fog light inhibitor relay (as far as i know), which is part of the dip/hi beam system, as the fog light should go off when on high beam. so if this relay is playing up, it needs to be put right. my problems are similar but i wanted to know...

    Fuse box help.

anyone know where the headlight and sidelight earths are located? there is power at the fuse box but no sidelights, i'm thinking exposed cable or earth come loose, if you put a fuse in she just blows when you switch them on. the headlights are funny as there is power to both on full and on dip...
