    carb body

Having read loads of useful stuff in here regarding zenith carbs i decided to buy new old stock lower body and refurb the rest rather than buying complete chineeseum copy, result is better idle and cleaner pickup.

    Bosch VE pump technical question

i cannot imagine why the new one has no thread as it is designed to be adjusted when pump is rebuilt and is retained by a horseshoe shaped spring clip, it should just click as you turn it. what part of the country are you in

    Potential 110 project

i cannot remember if 300 tdi had it but many bosch ve type pumps had an ordinary banjo bolt in the feed and a restricted one in the return in order to raise internal pressure. some howewver had an adaptor between the return banjo and the pump which contained the restrictor

    Potential 110 project

If the return is the "pin hole" type and its in the feed you will have no engine revs and lift pump pressure will be high at filter

What have you done to your Landie today.

I am getting properly frugal now I have two land rovers to look after so I took the failed windscreen washer pump off my 109 cleaned the debris from the pump part polished the tiny commutator in the motor and it now works again. A tiny victory but it pleased me!
