    Can lock actuators be fixed?

Well it’s actually ok now with modified master in there thanks but it might not be a bad idea if you have enough to spare one, how much you want for one Cheers Towsey

    Can lock actuators be fixed?

Yeah well that's exactly what the other side does and how this one started...anyway capped it now My spare master was OK so wondered if I could just use the orange and pink and it would work as a normal actuator, so tryed it and bingo so its sorted for now I was thinking of getting another...

    Can lock actuators be fixed?

If it’s been left a while like a couple of hours but worse overnight then for the first couple of presses it won’t move at all, lock or unlock it’s just like it’s unplugged, but then slowly gets better with use and by about 10 lock/unlock cycles it’s ok but never as good as the others but never...

    Can lock actuators be fixed?

Well... ...if I aren’t sick of this carry on! Gets into the actuator and found nothing obvious and everything is free but cleaned, worked, oiled it all and put it back together...still the same I did wonder at one point if the gears were catching the casing but nope Towsey

    Can lock actuators be fixed?

Ah ha, yes i believe it was you kind sir! So are we talking a bit of a pry apart with a flat screwdriver or cutting rite round with a junior hacksaw. If it’s easy enough I might just do them all seems I’ve got 3 door cards off already chasing down my problem, have you seen what I’ve found in...

    Disco 300tdi fuel pump

There’s always something with these things! Obviously it won’t show problems in or after the pump but still worth having, unless you like to put the red stuff thru it then it would be a bit of a give away ha Towsey

    Disco 300tdi fuel pump

Hope you’ve sorted it! This may be helpful or not... I had air ingress a few years ago and it ended up being a doughty washer on the sedimenter, but it took some finding as there was no fuel leaking out and it didn’t show until I pressurised the tank, anyway, I now run a bit of clear pipe in...

    do these diagrams exist?

Ok so it’s the actuator! I’m happy I’ve found the fault but so annoyed because of the time I’ve spent and how many parts I’ve removed and that if I didn’t have a spare actuator I would of swapped the originals side to side as the first job, turns out my spare has exactly the same fault as the...

    do these diagrams exist?

I’m not quite 100% on what you mean to swap. A single orange and single pink come under the centre console thru a multiplug and then are spliced to send one orange to each black door and one pink but there are no plugs there to swap. What I found today is that where they are spliced all it is is...

    do these diagrams exist?

Well that was the idea but looking at the diagram the connector will be one of each colour then the splice will split them, but I was thinking of cutting and re-connecting the other way round, unless I see something obvious, or if no joy there swap actuators Towsey

Really chuffed with all the input off you lot, thank you I had a rummage around with the multimeter earlier but got caught out by the dark...oh ok tea was ready ;) Well I’ve checked from the actuator thru to the floor under the passenger seat where it looks like the wire goes under the centre...

    Running cool and no pressure?

Yep, our hallway is a prime example of that! I think il leave it over winter and see how it copes, I spend quite a bit of time up on the moors and wolds in the middle of winter so we shall see, hopefully although I notice the difference by touch it will still keep it warm enough but if not then...
