I Someone obviously got out of bed the wrong side this morning. I just corrected an inaccuracy in your post & if you looked further up the thread you’ll see I made point that I installed it to remove salt spray. No need for a sarcastic comeback.

Kermit My heatshot system heats the screen wash as it exits the reservoir & not the jets. The jets freeze but constantly activating the washer pump eventually forces water to the jets & thaws them out.

They don’t stop jets from freezing although they do seem to thaw faster once you can get the hot water through to them. Don’t use them on a frozen windscreen for obvious reasons but to get rid of salt spray, muck & dead insects they’re ver6 useful

It works for me. I spend a lot of time on the coast and it helps remove the salt spray from the windscreen.

Yes, a friends TD5 has suffered really badly. I got over 25 years out of the original callipers but can only assume the newer ones are poorer quality. Might have to invest in a set of genuine Landrover ones and stainless pistons

Cheers all. I get right underneath the car and make sure I jet wash around the discs and callipers. The vehicle has a galv chassis which was raptored over the top and also a gavl bulkhead and A/B posts so its pretty well covered.... apart from the front discs

I’m assuming this is for van bodies only as the seat belt mounts would get in the way otherwise?

200,000 miles? Just run in! Mines done 229,000 & pulling like a train. Had it since new (well the company I worked for did) in 1992 so I know it’s had nothing done to the engine. The rest, however, is like Triggers broom.

I recall reading somewhere that the Britpart sender may have had an issue with wire incorrectly connected within the sender unit itself.

Think my 92 Defender came with Rangemasters as new from the factory (we’ve had it that long!) so they’re a good tyre if Landrover fitted them as standard

I had a similar issue with the Exmoor trim tilt fitted to my lightweight. Lasted 3 yrs and rotted. I’ve now got one from undercover covers. Much better fit & quality.

I did mine recently. Brilliant & really bright. I can now see my gauges at night.

Your first sentence perhaps provides a clue? Not run properly since carb rebuilt last year. Sounds like, as others have said, it’s running to rich. That could either be the jets or choke. Is the choke jammed open ? I’d be looking at the carb....

I bought a set of Wright off road mats for mine. Expensive but worth it in my opinion.
