Front calipers Defender 200 tdi. Advice needed

Good morning all. I’m looking for advice on best front calipers to buy for my 1992 Defender 200tdi. The originals were replaced 6 years ago but I’ve noticed the pads only touch the middle of the discs and the top / bottoms of discs aren’t touched. I’ve seen another thread on here where some...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Advisory on rear anti roll bar bushes on last MOT so replaced them & the drop links. Thankfully everything was well greased when it was rebuilt a few years ago so no drama getting everything undone.

    Binnacle mount replacement

Fitted Raptor binnacle mount & then binnacle to my Defender about 10 yrs ago before the big rebuild. Got fed up of loose binnacle rattling & every secondhand one I looked at had broken lugs. Hardest part of fitting was getting the steering wheel off

    4.4 Tdv8 fuel economy

Oops yes. I’ve been looking at newer model but see no reason to upgrade at the moment

    4.4 Tdv8 fuel economy

Not a sport. It’s the full RANGERover 409 model

    4.4 Tdv8 fuel economy

Would also add that iif you really want to see the fuel economy drop and boot it hard it shifts like a scalded moggie! Frightens a few people who think it’s just a big lump with a diesel and not a sports car.

    4.4 Tdv8 fuel economy

I’ve got a 2014 4.4 TDV8. Absolutely love it. On last autumns NC 500 trip we did a total of 1200 miles door to door as spent week prior to the NC500 around Elgin & Grantown on Spey. Got an average of 36 mph. Much less pootling around town but I tend to use the RR for journeys the Defender would...

L405 Sat Nav upgrade to Apple Carplay

My 2014 Range Rover 405 has only done 47,000 miles. I’ve had it 6 years but since retiring in 2018 it hardly gets used. I love it though and on a long journey it’s fantastically comfortable. The sat Nav is a thing of utter ****e though & I’d consider changing to a newer model just to get CarPlay...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Changed all the hub flanges. After 234 k miles there was a fair bit of wear. Got rid of lots of the clunks when taking up drive when changing gear.

I bought a Bought a Halfords 1/2” drive socket set about 20 years ago. Ratchet failed y’day changing hub drive flanges on the Defender. My local Halfords replaced it under warranty this morning no questions asked. Great service.

    Series 3 lightweight braking issue

After a few weeks visiting family in Oz I gave the lightweight a run out. The brake pedal isn’t returning & I have to lift the pedal with my toes. When it’s down the brake lights obviously stay on. There doesn’t seem to be any brake fluid loss so am I right in assuming it’s the master cylinder...

    Defender 90 300tdi exhaust

I got mine from Demand Engineering Ltd in Suffolk. Not cheap but all stainless, including hanging brackets & flanges. Will last a lifetime. Defender 200tdi heater causing voltage drop?

Morning all. I’ve noticed something recently I’ve never noticed before. My heater works well and delivers plenty of heat. But, when I switch it on I notice there’s a distinct drop in volts shown on the dash volt gauge. Without the heater on the needle in the gauge is almost at the red line. Turn...
