they are not far off each other-the thermistors in the sensors are nearly 20 years old-and will have I suppose a couple of percent tolerance.

P38A OBD reader to read engine temp P38 Thor

Quick update-received the OBD adapter today-works a treat! Can now see engine temp-so can change sensor at leisure. I did read that the OBD temp reading is taken from the other thermistor in the sensor-other thermistor is for engine ecu I think. Don't know if that is correct-but all good for...

    Range Rover is back!

Had this for nearly 15 years. Broken down twice in that time due to faulty door lock-luckily once under the carport. It's been away for a couple of years having a bit of work done by a superb indy in between regular jobs-air con fixed (bonnet insulation wore through air con pipe), sunroof fixed...

    P38A Coolant sensor position.

Many thanks again! Ordered a new one. Car is looking and driving good! This was the only issue-I've got to take it back for a check over in a month to sort out any niggles-but I'll change this. The clear indicators were on it to show another customer-they have been replaced with the originals.

    P38A Coolant sensor position.

Hello all, The temp gauge has stopped working on my 99 Thor 4.6. I cannot see the sensor-the only one I can see has a black connector with 4 wires coming out of it-ECU temp sensor? Any advice on the position of the sensor and where to get one would be greatly appreciated.

P38A EAS Heat Extraction - Vents?

Father had a 3.0L manual-RTG 260R-spot lamps on the front like the Sweeney one-but in Stratos silver with a black vinyl roof. Passed my test in a 1.3 Allegro with quartic wheel. He then bought this at 5 years old-first time I drove it I crapped myself-bit more powerful than 1.3 Allegro-boy did...

P38A EAS Heat Extraction - Vents?

I drilled holes in my EAS lid years ago. I had problems with it faulting whilst towing from the Lake District-used my EAS light to reset it. Read the codes on my pc when home when it happened again-can't remember exactly as 8 years ago-but something to do with valveblock/drivers. Thought about...

    Water in boot hopefully fixed!

Sorry Nick just seen this, The pipes are behind the trim that hides the rear seat belts and the rear seat release button. They are a bit fiddly to get at-but one end of my pipe had come off. I'd take a photo-but my RR is in a garage having a mini restoration. Cheers Steve

    P38A End of an era.

Definitely. I've been very, very lucky. I bought a good one. I've had it 13 years-its broken down twice due to the bloody door locks-once under the carport and once I had to be recovered-so in 13 years not too bad. The battery needs replacing as it is at least 14 years old. It's had tyres, 4 new...
