You all knew I was going to on this forever. I guarantee I've got an airtight system. From tank and springs empty all corners lift evenly within minutes. Then the pump kicks out. But what happens then is there's two or three click/clonk sounds from the rear of the block and the pump fires up...

Whining, not the wife, mother in law, dog......

Did he belt in Spain. My transaction on you know where came up, probably, on account of what's in the cache on my Moby. The item is coming PDP. I know the driver. But do I ever agree that couriers have you over a barrel. Especially if the wheels fall off a delivery. You might as well howl at the...

Whining, not the wife, mother in law, dog......

I don't know what just happened. I clicked on your quoted link and the transaction I made this morning came up. I double checked with these people on both part number and secondary number. I've ordered the idler pulley and the tensioner this morning. I'm not sure the row I referred to comes from...

    Is it me, or..........

No it's not just me. Even posting daft questions doesn't generate an avalanche of abuse in the guise of banter. Refreshing.

You're assuming my radio works. I've double listened to my alternator which I bought from you know where. Screwdriver to ear. Noisy as suggested. A good step one. Mine is Bosch ERR5834 150amp. Wildly expensive from everywhere. There are places quoting much lesser prices for ERR6413 that they...

Whining, not the wife, mother in law, dog......

Funnily enough that's rung a bell. Years ago, come to think of it, I did get a whining from what I thought was the front axle. I posted on here as a matter of fact. It seemed to disappear when towing. I subsequently drained the axles and everything else come to that. I've learned about "it's had...

Whining, not the wife, mother in law, dog......

Now, that's shook a six for me.The starting point I was looking for. Thanks again. With no ground contact are the wheels and axles still going to go round. If you're suggesting it then I guess so. I also guess that the traction control won't throw a wobbly. My discs and pads needed changing so...

Whining, not the wife, mother in law, dog......

I know I've posted a daft question. How can anyone diagnose a sound that can't be heard? I've got to start somewhere and you're it. I'll just start with the wheel bearings. If that's wammer's starting point, then it's mine. I take it that universal joints are ruled out. If you could see the...

Whining, not the wife, mother in law, dog......

How you fellows can even attempt to help diagnose a whiningg problem from all the threads that cropped up in a search, is a complete enigma to me. Yep, amongst a plethora of other things, I've got this whine. It's constant and increases/decreases with road speed not engine revs. I fitted a set...

I'm right on beam with the block regime. Got blocks made already. Do these height sensors do the 35mph thing to you or am I still missing something else? I forget the actual EAS unlock readings because my book's elsewhere at the moment. I'll post in the near future. Need a couple of brandies...

    P38 4ltr 2002 thor 35mph EAS

I know EAS has been done to death here but, I haven't come up on a search with my exact sequence of events. I've been right through the plumbing, rear bags and valve block and, having grasped the height settings theory, carried out a preliminary proceedure. Happy that all was OK including and...

On its way as we speak. Both aforementioned culprits. Marty's post was more than graphic and I understood it. But there's always something else I can't see, which is why I enquired. Do you ever sleep? You'd be welcome, I'm sure, at one of our group therapy sessions. I'll ask Matron. Thanks...

how many days coolant and oil leak free have you been ?

I've just gone to town on my little madam. Replaced. Gearbox filter and oil, replaced engine oil and filter, had the ol dash out to do major bowel surgery, drained and replenished the axles and transfer box. All that time the floor was snuff dry. I did it my way. Is that a record?

    P38 02 Thor Brake & EAS

This is a purely academic question. Having recharged my AC and not surprisingly the compressor didn't kick in with the wrong control panel, the system was duly discharged. I put my original control box back, faults and all, and even with the system empty of refrigerant the compressor clutch...

Doing all sorts of stuff presently but coincidentally I've fitted a replacement hevac controller. Come to start up and engine spins but won't fire. These gearbox faults show up. I've never had a starting problem ever. Fault 15 P1842 CAN level monitoring. Fault present and continuous. Fault 17...

    help with air suspension, Ray

Of course listen to the masked men on here. I have one of those pump up spray bottles which deliver a jet of soapy water. Knock yourself out. You can pretend it's a machine gun. Just where the airlines appear over the back nearside chassis then off to the nearside bag and across to the offside...
