    MAF Sensor

I can only report what happened to me which is what the original post asked. Everyone knows how much of an expert I am. I had a fusebox issue (putting it mildly) the symptoms you outline are exactly what I ended up with. I was forced to get a diagnostic toy as I was stuck in southern Spain. The...

Vapourizer in series. Wish I'd thought of that. I've even fitted bleed valves in the parallel setup for ridding air locks.

    p38 lpg conversion diy

LPG is part of MOT now. Marty's suggestion re pipe lengths is good. I did one with tortuous pipe routing and you could've had a game of chess waiting for the pickup. I had a stainless exhaust fitted coincidentally and did away with the cats. Food for thought. I'd cover everything, cables pipes...

P38 thor 2002. I'm doing something stupid to the EAS

How annoying and frustrating this must have been for you having put so much work, care and attention into helping not only me. I'd downloaded everything including the spec to which you refer, printed it all out and kept it in my folder. I didn't see past a solid bump stop. I know how stupid I've...

P38 thor 2002. I'm doing something stupid to the EAS

well my response was I expected him to spot what I'd done straightaway. We'll he did. Second sentence. I told him I wouldn't post anything nice about him on landyzone. .................;)

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Hats off to you. When it's hanging down, even in a small way it's bit like saying "don't think of the pink elephant". Once you've noticed it, or even worse- you know who- ignoring it isn't an option. We'll, what I've done today is kiss my beloved Ratbag of a p38 Westminster Thor 2002. Right on...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I did mine, as I've mentioned. By the time I've finished all the jobs in my overhaul and especially the ones I'm making a pig's ear of, it'll be time to do it again. Today I'm still waiting for my airbags. The LAST set. I'll be dead by the time they need doing again.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I'm sure I'm sane. I was mad for my p38. Then the guy said you'd be mad not to buy it. Then someone said are you mad buying that? And someone else said you must be crazy spending all that time and money on that repair. Then someone said if you don't get rid of that you're certifiable. Then I...

Thanks. Next summer job, then. Regards Peter.

Wish I could come out looking that clean and feeling that good.

Whining, not the wife, mother in law, dog......

Thanks again to landyzone gentry the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched on again. I've followed the diagnostic advice here and a noisy pinion bearing seems favourite. I've put some fresh oil in and squirted molyslip in. I've tried to move the flange going in and it's not moveable...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Trust me. You'll hardly ever look at it. I'm thinking of upholstering the underneath and behind the dash and perhaps the underside of the bonnet. I'd certainly put a minibar in place of the EAS pump for all the use it is. . Maybe even a cocktail bar behind the transfer box. That's where I spend...

LPG Vs MAF no winners... I Need Someone With Experience

When you get a post off Marty, you stay posted. I've been on the receiving end of one of them to my eternal gratitude. Forgot to mention, someone who'll remain nameless mixed the plumbing and wiring up to the injectors. That nameless one dismantled everything to get down behind the block. It's...

P38 thor 2002. I'm doing something stupid to the EAS

I can drop clangers whatever the degree of difficulty. The wife says "too much education and no common sense". I'm now getting one to one tuition, so, this thread is due to come to an end. Back to wheeler dealers and Corry. Bits come today and I can feel it in my water that the end is nigh. Who...

LPG Vs MAF no winners... I Need Someone With Experience

Right. I can only tell you what I've got/had. OMVL gubbins on p38 Thor. If that's what you've got I can tell you how to take it out and put it back again. It's working so it'll have a value. There's a minefield of air/vacuum potential leaks. I came across perished pipes, split at connections and...

LPG Vs MAF no winners... I Need Someone With Experience

I had precisely that problem. Admittedly I'd had a pretty major meltdown involving an ECU switch but in the end I changed the maf sensor after the lambda's. The symptoms you describe I partly ditched by kill or cure cotton bud and meths on the maf element. (Meths is all I had). It improved...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Did the headlining and sunroof reline. Glue shortage was my main prob. Sunroof manouvre poss on your own. Use the seat rake adjusters as a jack with suitable boxes to balance the rig on the headrests. Use long bolts to grab the easiest thread available. Not the pro way but that's how I did it...

P38 thor 2002. I'm doing something stupid to the EAS

I'm getting away light here. My rear airbags aren't showing their knickers and my side to side sensor readouts are parity and 1. As a temporary emergency get out of jail measure I've replaced all airbags with colanders which hold pressure longer. If this post appears less than communicable I'm...

LPG Vs MAF no winners... I Need Someone With Experience

that's what I meant. There's two solonoid valves that need to kick in. There's a single tapping that picks up the engine ECU happenings. The LPG ECU only does what the engine ECU does. If you could see what's going on in a software programn the LPG emulates petrol. It would be a more practical...

LPG Vs MAF no winners... I Need Someone With Experience

There's one tap into the engine ECU. That's it. The injector loom couples under the petrol gallery. Don't condemn LPG. P38'S love it. I wouldn't win votes for some installers . The injectors are no more than nozzles when work loose mix everything a bottle. Diagnostics don't care what fuel is in...
