I have that exact same stereo! But no Connect2, so don't think I can be of any real help.

Hows this, then? Seems to hold up so far

Yep, that's snapped on mine too. I managed to get it to stick with some epoxy and held with duct tape. Worked fine if you were careful, but then you forget it's broken a few months later and aren't careful enough...

No hahah. Mostly return journey so would cancel out anyway. 50mph zones, sticking to 60 elsewhere, cruise control, brand new tyres, Redex maybe helped too...

Does topping 30mpg for the first time since I got her count? Haha.

One of the jobs I've done too. Red stitching for me. And also some new shoes. OK, *I* didn't personally do any of that; but there you have it,

Disco 3 (LR3) Electrical split charge system

I did say its dirty lol

Disco 3 (LR3) Electrical split charge system

I got some nice thick cable for the red connections, and have a 50A circuit breaker at both ends. Also got an additional isolator in the middle. The timer counts down 60s from the ignition moving to position II, because I'm never going to leave it there for that long if I'm not starting the...

Disco 3 (LR3) Electrical split charge system

It's not an out of the box, or completely ideal solution; but I've made my own with a timer circuit, ignition signal, and 12V relay (I over engineered with 60A ones). So it just dumps the full alternator voltage onto the secondary battery, which will reduce its life a bit; but works well enough...

Does just getting her back and a clean out after a 10 month chassis swap count?

Disco 2 Front wheel arch rust & replacement, gearbox seals, brake hoses

Lets start with the simplest, replacement brake hoses. I plan to get some braided ones, but I'm not certain if mine has been lifted. I suspect it may be a couple of inches higher than standard. looking at these, is there any reason not to get the extended ones just in case given that the normal...

    Disco 2 Transfer box high/low switch/sensor

Ooooh, mine's a manual anyway so that's why I haven't got a clue what you're talking about hahaha.

Cannot picture what you're talking about at all

    Disco 2 Transfer box high/low switch/sensor

Yeah, I know all that. It's fiddling with HDC that's pointed me to this switch probably being faulty. I can drive in lo; but from what I've gathered the ECU changes some settings to make it work better; but obviously not right now as it doesn't know. M Button?

    Disco 2 Transfer box high/low switch/sensor

Not gonna fit 3 kids and all our camping stuff in a freelander lol.

    Yeah, going to look around.

    Disco 2 Transfer box high/low switch/sensor

Well I haven't *needed* to in the 3 years I've had her. But as we're fitting a replacement chassis I figured I'd try to sort it while it's all apart. Still probably won't need it; unless low range is useful for giving someone a quick pull out of some mud?

    Disco 2 Transfer box high/low switch/sensor

Looks right, but damn they're expensive. Don't need it that badly lol.

    Disco 2 Transfer box high/low switch/sensor

Anyone know what part number I'm looking for for this sensor on a 2001 D2? This says only from 3A771055 (I'm 2A74...), but can't seem to find an alternative option for anything earlier.

Disco 2 Some chassis swap questions

Well the galvanisers have accepted it; it does seem to be in surprisingly good condition - not even had any welding, apparently. Any the garage have spent a fair time really getting it well cleaned up. I agree it's probably worth getting inside it with something just to be sure, though.
