    Disco 4 (LR4) Rear camera

The reversing camera on Mk3 / L322 Range Rovers is a very common failure too. On those, most people replace with an ebay supplied NTSC camera as the genuine item is stupidly expensive (more than £300 !). The ebay items appear to have similar picture quality and only costs £10 to £15. Some...

    D2 Front Shock Towers

I've never seen any drawings on-line - I can't imagine anyone sharing them if they've gone to the trouble of measuring up as it's not worth the effort unless your're going to make & sell them commercially. There's various companies making replacement damper turrets - often cheaper than second...

    L322 2009 3.6 TDV8 EGR fault code

I had that code on mine when the EML came on. The EGR was moving fine due to the ECU signal after I removed it to check (pipework blanked off, but electrical connector connected to the EGR and the engine started). However, the signal from the position sensor didn't match what the Engine ECU...

Other Anyone used a brake pressure bleeder?

I've used 1 of the tyre pressure based pressure bleeders in the past. It worked well, but the biggest challenge was fixing the dummy reservoir caps to the reservoirs - especially some of the more exotic bayonet fittings. Clamping right round the mastercylinder worked, but was sometimes a bit...

    L322 2009 3.6 TDV8 EGR fault code

With the EGR potential failure modes including valve heads breaking up & disappearing into the turbo or cylinders (if the EGR is not blanked off), I'd be very wary of the quality of any non genuine / OE parts.

    Disc 2 compressor Guard

I've no longer got a compressor, just the mounting bracket. However, I've got a 2 inch high V shape in the bracket from offroading - obviously something that was an odd shape when sliding over with the chassis rails

    L322 2009 3.6 TDV8 EGR fault code

An EGR fault on a TDv8 doesn't have to effect the engine performance to trigger the EML.

    Brake servo

Beware that even physically interchangeable servos can have significantly different internal specification & could make the brake pedal feel very different (better OR worse). I think the only way you'll find out if another model's servo is useable is if you can get hold of the relevant online...

    Disco 2 Refitting air suspension

You'll find a few write-ups on here or d2boysclub.co.uk if you searchwhere members have done the same successfully, but sometimes with a few problems along the way. You may want to change the title of this post too !

    gear change very hard

It could be the plastic bush that locates the ball at the end of the gearstick in the selector rail. It's a relatively common failure on high mileage cars. When it gets worse you can might not be able to select any gears, The possible alternative is the gear selector plate being worn / loose...

discovery 4 2012 loss of gps

I'm not familiar with the setup in a Disco4, but in a Mk3 RR that's often caused by bad aerial coonection to the satnav unit in the boot or duff aerial.

Disco 2 Variable Vain Turbo anyone?

Understand about Facebook - lol. If you can contact them via other means, great, they may be able to help with another opinion. I'm sure many of them have TD5 D2s - they're often used as tow cars for their competition land rovers

Disco 2 Variable Vain Turbo anyone?

John, have a look on Facebook for "Cornwall and Devon Landrover Club" & post your question for someone with a D2 to drive yours. There are lots of helpful guys down there!

D2 front A piller plastic covers rubber seal replacement??

I don't believe they're available as a separate part. If they're missing, you may have to get a second pair of covers (perhaps broken ones just to get the seal cheap ?) I've refitted the seals to mine in the past - but used evostick contact adhesive. They're still fine after a few years

    BennehBoy's D2 adventure

You should use stick on weights. You can then build up the weight in one spot by layering - lol. It also gets them further out of the way when you're in deep mud. My Special Tracks have 3 layers in some spots to achieve almost perfect balance on my modulars. Garages never think of doing it &...

    Disco 2 Wheel confirmation please

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately those are Defender / Disco 1 / RR Classic fitment - which is also why the offset is so different

    Disco 2 Wheel confirmation please

Could you share which websites? I use 235/85 mud tyres and 7 inch rims would be better than my current 8 inch

    Disco 2 Wheel confirmation please

You'll be very lucky to find any 7 inch wide modulars for a D2. I've never seen any advertised.

    Disco 2 Front caliper difference?

The caliper assemblies are interchangeable in pairs from post facelift onto the earlier pre-facelift cars - improving overall braking performance slightly. I posted about this a few years ago when I needed to replace mine. If you use the Search option you should find it. There's quite a few...

Disco 2 A/C Compressor Bolt Came Out

It's amazing for normally high quality Japanese parts ! The bolt loosening / falling out appears common on other applications of the Denso AC compressor too (VW / Audi etc)
