Yes, as per Wammers' reply. Follow Rave apart fan and shroud removal. Remove front grill, then slam panel. Remove top and bottom hose and unbolt radiator at bottom. Unbolt power steering reservoir. Finally unclip shroud so its loose and move back towards engine as far as you can and slide...

    Nanocom evo

Have a look at the wiring into the connector for the CPS. I removed the connector to give me room to change my starter, this caused the wire into the connector to break due to corrosion. I think it caused similar issues to yours apart from the fast idle.

P38A EAS compressor rebuild and height sensor problems

I have been neglecting the poor car for a long time due to lack of available time. The compressor is tired and not pumping as strongly as it should so need to rebuild, see below for suspected cause. All the guides just refer to applying a dab of sealant to the O rings and reed valve. My Q is...

    P38A Brake pad uneven wear

Lower slider was really corroded so think that was the cause, but puzzled as its only 2 years since I paid a garage to change disks and pads. @biketeacherdave - Calipers look OK and replacing disks, pads, sliders and all bolts. @JonnyB - everyone says to use copper grease but I don't like it...

    P38A Brake pad uneven wear

Managed to get the lower slider out with a set of mole grips working it loose after a soak with Plusgas. Now trying to get carrier frame off as disk is damaged.

    P38A Brake pad uneven wear

Just took off my front brake pads on o/s front wheel and saw that one pad is significantly worn (outer pad) compared to the inner one. The slider looks a bit rusty so I think the sliders are the problem. Could some confirm this. Also what's the best way to remove the seized offender as it is...

    Overpriced landies

I'm with everyone else here. Comfort and price were the deciding factors in purchasing my P38. Having driven military Defenders I knew they were off the table right from the start.

P38 '97 2.5 DSE manual glow plug change

This happened to me. Moved the wire as it was rubbing and ended up needing a new injector. £250 OUCH. I've changed the glow plugs twice on mine, first time without a problem, and I am a disaster area when it comes to diy maintenance.

    P38A Thermostat still leaking

Thanks Ratae really need the support at the moment. I was finding coolant on the floor slightly off center on the pax side, so was thinking it was the water pump, couldn't get a clear enough view to confirm but given the price of a new pump I planned to renew everything as a I didn't want to...

    P38A Thermostat still leaking

Its a diesel. As far as I can establish I can feel coolant on the bottom hose. Everything is new water pump, heater pipe O ring, thermostat, housing and bottom hose. I just cannot see where the source is.
